My First Runescape Artwork ~ Inside

Featured Replies

Hi all. After seeing all the fantastic runescape signatures around this forum I decided I'd make one of my own (I realised as I finished the file size is too large to be allowed on this forum, oh well !).

The image was made in adobe photoshop using a;

- 1 Pixel Paintbrush Tool

- Pencil Tool

- Burn tool

This is my first time attempting anything like this (hand drawn, etc) so it took me a long while - haha - I have always created abstract graphics / etc.

The image is of a runescape warrior fighting a greater demon at the demonic ruins (located in deep wilderness).

Hope you like it - feel free to tell me what you think. :)

GREAT for your first, there are a few anatomy problems (arms to big head to small) but that's to be expected the daemon doesn't look very evil so give him CLAWS instead of paws lol but nevertheless very nice, and try to move away from the burn tool as you get more advanced  .

Lowgravity, I want to be just like you. But...I never will be as 1337 as you. :(

Thanks Lowgravity. :) It was intended to make the greater demon not look too evil as I tried to give the impression he was scared of the warrior by having the demon covering his face with his left arm and holding his right hand up to mean "stop".

About the claws/paws comment - I visited the demonic ruins to get a good view of a greater demons hand during attack - as you can see it does infact look more like a paw than a claw ! :

Very good, but the person's hand looks weird. Don't forget to add a thumb, like this:

Very good point, I knew the hand looked weird for some reason, couldn't quite put my finger on it. (Geddit ? Geddit ? )

Thanks tyler for pointing that out, i'll fix it now. 8)

^ fixed hand - that better ?

Better, but get rid of the black line under the thumb completely.

did you took some of the things straight from the game? like the wall and skirt maybe...

No, that would be ripping.

The background (walls) is probably why you're implying I took straight from the game - not correct though. It's the same scenery of the demonic ruins because I took a screenshot & printed it, I then used it as a guide for how my background would look.

I don't see how you think the skirt was taken from the game, I think I got the texture of the lower half of the skirt spot on, perhaps that's why.

Hmm, I guess I'll take your comments as a compliment 'Random', my plan was to keep it as similar to runescape as possible.

Edit; to remove any doubts you may of had 'Random', I saved my skirt texture changes as i went along so hopefully you can now see nothing was taken from in-game. :)
