aaron5140
Has Rune Armour had it's day, when I first started playing RS, Rune was 250K without the Kite (now 200k with) , Rune Boots were 350k are now as low as 200k. With the introduction of new areas new armour like Rock and Skeletal plus Barrows, all of which have i believe have the same or similar or better stats as rune, the same goes for Dragon Medium Helm, matched by the Fremmenick warrior helm. Where does that leave those of us so determined to smith and profit from full rune? Albeit we can still sell on F2p worlds, but eventually they too will force the price down, more inclined to save for god armour. Maybe RS should consider introducing a new craftable or even smithable armour type, reduce the smithing level requirements for rune to accommodate this new material. Or even a spell to enhace the armour stats similar to upgrading a Battle Staff to a Mystice Staff? Anyone with ideas? http://www.draynor.net/stat/black/male/ ... on5140.png
Striker6
You obviously haven't played very long, i played when rune larges were 100k+ and rune 2 handers were in the excess of around 1.5 mil ( that was alot of money back in rsc). It's the economy, there are many rune smithers now, so there is alot more rune armour in circulation decreasing it's value. So i suppose a new armour might help...you'd have a to go into more detail though.

AfroThundeX
What you need to realize is that there is a certain point when the value of rune will stop decreasing. Jagex was smart enough to put in the Alching feature. All rune items have a set High Alch amount. The price of rune will most likely decrease to that point. If it got lower than that people would just buy and high alch. But at that point rune will HAVE to stop decreasing. Presto instant eggs. i have the solution to "goblin diplomacy"...kill wartface and bentnoze.
bluebell1
lower prices=buyers market. more buyyers=higher prices. higher prices =more smithers. more smithers=lower prices. its all a chain so with the new players prices will rise and then fall because of more people being able to smith it. it will soon get to the point that high alching is easyer to make money. thats when prices ill climb again. mrah
When prices of rune items drop, so will the price of rune ores. So that evens out the price when it drops. until we reach the alching value, then you can just smith and alch without a loss. So you will always be able to smith for profit/no-loss. S_E_D_I_M
Rune smithers really wont make too much profit anymore.. With 5 rune bars you can sell a rune palte for 60-70k, or if you have 90 smithing you can make 5 swords and make 60k through high lvl alching them. Thats probably what I'll end up doing, no use in getting 99. 117 CombatTheboss123
