There are red, yellow, orange, blue, green, violet and then I don't know more. I think it is ment to start with an I...

Why didn't you bother searching google? It would have taken much less time than posting here and you wouldn't annoy half as many people.

Yeah, but I was on the assumption that he meant the visible spectrum. ROYGBIV are the most visible colors. At hundreds of yards to even miles away, the human eye can not distinguish the myriads of colors that are not refracted as well as ROYGBIV.

Of course it's a fair and valid question, I never claimed to the contrary. It doesn't mean that everyone wouldn't have been better off had he just made a 2 second search on google.

I always remember the order of the colours in French for some odd reason :-/ If i remember in English i get yellow and orange muddled up sometimes :(
