Well I am loving doing sort of partially abstract computer art at the minute

So my friend Sarah suggested I do some portrait style work,

So using 6 colours (black, white and 4 greys)

And this photo:

I suggest more work on the face/arms, especially her left arm, too muscular (sp?). She look more like a "him" in the portrait.

its pretty good

work more on proportion, blending the shaded parts and the pattern of the cardigan

good job tho

No offence but I won't be blending anything

Whiole point is it is meant to be abstract in the way it is not shaded to look proper shaded it is shaded to use 6 definate tones.

Points people said other than that thanks pretty muhc confirmed what I was thinking needed work on will get round to it when I have time

Your strokes look timid, squiggly. Low tones can be good, but it the strokes have to be bold and descisive.

Also, I don't really see this as abstract...yet. The face seems to be a little, yes, but then your basicaly recreating the rest true to life, just a little distorted is all. If its going to be abstract, make sure the same intensity of abstract is kept throughout the piece.

Thanks,

Yeah you kinda said what my friend who does art as well pointed out - its not really abstract

Can't think of what you would class it as though

As for the strokes, I must say I find tht kind of odd cause I am so not timid or indescisive when doing anything arty. I juts go for it and make the mistakes work somehow. So I am not sure how it appears to sue timid strokes, maybe furture works of this nature I do will appear more bold and desicive will have to wait n see
