It depends on how they ship it.

If they ship by fedex, then you will need to be home to receive the package, but they will leave a note on your door if you aren't home and try again up to three times. And the seller should email you the tracking number after they ship.

(I have no clue about UPS or those, so :P)

I've sold a few things on ebay, and this is what mostly happened. First you or the buyer should get incontact by email or something. Then you should send the money through paypall or whatever you want, ask him for the info you will need to send him the money. When he recieves the money, he should send it to you through whatever means neccassry.

well, heres the problem... ive sent him a few messages over the days, no response, but i, like the stupid ebay newbie i am :D sent him the payment as soon as i bought it.. the guy is a "powerseller" ( hes sold over 2500+ items) and he has a 100% rating, so i figured i could trust him.... but i still havent heard anything from him.. what do i do? oh and also any info on how i should recieve the package will be great ^_^

I've got over 1k eBay transactions the past couple years  , I'm an addict to both buying and selling. (If I could see the listing, I could probably help you more.)

If you're ever unsure about something, don't be afraid to contact the seller.

Alot of times when a user is a power seller, they sometimes lose track of who they've replied to and who they haven't. If they haven't responded to your email, try messaging them through eBay. If they don't respond to that and you don't receive your item, (I assume you paid through PayPal) try contacting them at the phone number in their contact details. (You'll have an email receipt of this transaction).

Be sure and check your listing for how long it has taken other users for shipping. If alot of users have items purchased more than 3 weeks before the feedback, then possibly there is slow shipping time. Also, check the shipping details for days taken. As well, there should be a statement about shipping and payment details on the listing stating if they send the conformation number to you.

I always email my buyers back with the conformation number, as well as messaging them through eBay with it. Alot of users don't. This seems the case.

If it was shipped through Ups, you can get and 'estimated shipping time' on this site: http://wwwapps.ups.com/calTimeCost?loc=en_US&WT.svl=SubNav

You can also check eBay for help here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/isgw-buyer-protection-steps.html That's the eBay Buyer Protection Program. It will help you with most doubts.

That's more detailed then I am. [/url]

ooooh, perfect. you are exactly the sort of person i was hoping would respond to this post :D :D

this is the listing:

and yeah... i think my biggest concern here is the way i recieve the item... like, if i need to be at home and what not, or if i will be notified of a time someone needs to be there, or if I personally have to be there, etc etc... thanks a lot for your input, and hopefully you will know the answer to my question ^_^
