An idea for a tipit event?

Featured Replies

Sorry mods/event planners if I'm not supposed to post this or something :-\

I can't count how many posts I've seen expressing frustration over auto miners, wc-ers, etc. Especially ess mines in varrock, and yews behind varrock.

I thought maybe I'd try to do something about it...

Maybe we can have a monthly event or something, where we take trips to these common locations and report all the autoers?? Maybe a tipit mod could take charge, find an autoer, say his name, then all tipiters present would report him? I'm sure if Jagex sees a load or reports on one guy within a minute, they will look into is asap!

Just an idea... trying to do something (be it ever so small) to get rid of these *ahem* autoers.

Say what you think!

the trip can be fun... but the chance that you see that many autoers is small... so... srry to say it... looks like a kinda useless event to me... im srry if i offend you with that

go check aubury's shop in a f2p world. I sat there and reported 23 autoers once. No kidding.

I agree with you. Even if we are wrong it wouldn't be good.

Trips are always fun but such a trip isn't i think.

Whether Jagex bans somebody doesn't depend on how many abuse reports they get. Jagex gets 60 second clip of the reported person, and from that, they decide if they should take action.

Whoa, freaky. In this topic: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=436063, someone mentions something like that.

I ve hear about a Clan does massive reports of one "victim" player..

They group and accord to make Jagex Bann somebody.. And well.. i dont sure if this is real.. but if you think about it, could be possible..

If all of your friends play RS , and you decide to go bad, all you need is synchronize your team and all report at same time the same player for the same reason.. And this poor guy will be banned instantly.. is very easy to do , because there are a lot of players on-line, and Jagex must automatize their "breaker rules detection"..

I dont know.. but sounds very real to me.. what do you think ?

If we all reported the wrong person, it would be terrible. Some poor skiller frozen just for being in thw rong place at the wrong time.

People just need to learn to share crabs.
I'd prefer my nether regions clear of diseases, thank you very much.

Presicely. We would make a lot of false reports, it's bound to happen.

Sounds a little boring, how bout we all go pking :D

Ugh, sounds like a wannabe pmod convention. People who spend their days reporting autoers for hours and hours are just wasting time. Sure it's possible that jagex might ban some of them, but that only means the autoer needs to just click a few more buttons to pop out another character to replace the banned one. There are better ways to help the community in general than swarming around heavily autoed areas trying to get level 3's banned.

Have we ever had a Runescape pub crawl? I've only just really started visiting these forums regularly, despite being signed up for ages, so sorry if it's not an original idea. If it was done on a members world we could deposit food and drink in the party room in Seers village and having the dancing knights..... a right old knees-up

So if nobody wants to do this, may I ask for something?

This is gonna sound like the corniest thing you've ever heard, but to quote J.K. Rowling

We have to fight, and keep fighting, for that is the only thing that keeps evil at bay

Good defeated is more powerful then Evil triumphant
