  1. cant wait to see it.... -edit- totally rocks. gives the game a more smooth feel... not so "java graphix", with hard edges, etc, but more smooth feel.
  2. but you guys are missing the whole point. Its been proven that if macroers all go "boom" and leave... the prices for everything would go up... so lets see: you would make more gp: merchanting cutting yews mining coal making runes you name it... but, you would also spend more on everything else. Maybe a few 10's of gp difference here and there, but heck, mostly the same. I think a big reason jagex is taking offence at macroers is simply that they are making real life money off of a game Jagex made, they own rights to, etc. It is illegal to sell the runescape client for say, 5 bucks... why? Jagex owns it. If they wanted to sell the client, then ok, they could. $5 up front fee to play the game. One time fee. But others cant do that. So, can others sell gp for cash? no. Jagex could if they wanted. They truly own all the gp. If you are selling it for real, hard cash, its not only cheating, but also rights-infringement. Plain and simple. While the macroers may not be a massive problem for runescape gp, how would you like it if somebody sold the drawing you made, or the program you wrote, or the music you record without your permition? I think that is the real thing about this. Jagex just says in their rules explanations that its just "to make the game fair". while partly true, its mostly to protect themselves. Its like why stores put in security cameras... they may say its "to keep you safe", but no, the real reason is to catch the theives. Thats my take on this whole thing. I don't really care if you flame me or not, as has happened before. I fully expect that it will happen again. 'Tis what happens when you get a bunch of 12 and 13 yr old kids together. edited for spelling
  3. God. I told myself I'd never do this. I posted in the wrong topic =D> #-o

    Eagle Scout

Yes, I don't know how I offended you in any way, but i'm sorry. According to you, i'm offending you by not having knowledge of what an eagle scout is? I also previously stated that nobody should take offence because I didn't know something. Anyways, congratulations on becoming an eagle scout. How long did it take you to become one? Not sure what seahawk meant... maybe just a misunderstanding. I didnt take what you said as being rude... Anyways, it took me 4 years from start to finish from joining scouts to eagle... a little bit faster than most. The eagle rank itself took about... I'd say 18 months. Work work work work!

    Eagle Scout

thanks! --- What did I do for the project?? Well, the point of the project is to show leadership... not neccessarily do a big project... but what I did was at the church we meet at, they have an attic area, that needed walls and shelves. The fire marshall kept yelling at the church for breaking fire code. So, I put up (ok, I directed others to put up) 2,000 sqaure feet of wall, and shelves. It took a while... :) But yeah, I look back at what boy scouts has done for me... a lot! Tons of leadership skills. something like 50% of the eagle scouts from my community get up to being CFO or CEO or president or other high possition in a company. I dont really like buisness... I'll go fly instead. But yeah, its pretty impressive. Every astronaut in the Apollo program was required to have been an eagle scout. When joining US marines, air force, navy, or army, you start at a rank 1 or 2 spots higher than normal. All you kids who are 12 or so... up to say 14, scouting is incredible! Yeah, it might be kinda weird in some aspects... but so much of what I have learned has come from being a scout. It also got me interested in a lot of outdoor stuff... rock climbing... mountain biking... backpacking... you name it... I love that kind of stuff now. Anyways, my plug for scouts lol. O:)
  6. beef. Chicken never fills me up... I'll always be hungry a few hours later. But chicken sandwiches pwn burgers. Other than that, beef. 100% Steak is amazing, not chewy if prepared correctly. You can do a lot with it like tacos, burritos, steak, some amazing other stuff. :-)

  8. stay around afterwards for a freak train/dance!! Uniform is: fish bowl scuba tank preist gowns (any dark color gowns) crab claw desert boots ghost speak ammy last 3 items not a true necessity.... stay around in edgy for it... we'll tele cammy and walk to cwars!
  9. I actually like these "under the hood" updates the most... like the new game system... remember how everybody was about ready to go find Jagex and kill them?? Now look at it. Smoother game play... less lag... all around game. I prefer this stuff compared to a new quest that will keep you busy for a few hours... give you a new stinky weapon... and wow, 3k cooking xp! And, I also understand what they say about working evenings and weekends. My dad does that a lot when something is being updated or is broken... and thats in the airline buisness. He can ground every single airline in the world with one command. But he'd get fired. But to see that Jagex puts this much work into a game really shows that they care. Sure, they care about the money too... but they care about the game also. Otherwise they would not be tweaking something to make things run smoother, they would be adding more fluff. The fluff is what gets them the money. But, if they ignore the fluff for a week, and add/fix base line stuff, I think it shows they care. Thanks Jagex! :3> Anyways, my 2 cents worth. Bash as you please.
  10. well... it went well. Met the governor of georgia... and I think this is the only time I have made 5,000 people cry all at once. :3> Well, too bad it wasnt on any national network. I guess they mostly focused on the ground zero, etc. I'll keep checking foxnews, cnn, etc online. Thanks for the support!!
  11. I'd love to be there. But I'll be here in rl: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=537699
  12. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=537699 thats how I'll be remembering 9/11
  13. Ok, first off, my rs name is bagpiperdude. Gives you a hint that I play the bagpipes. Anyways, here in Atlanta, GA, at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield (for those of you around here), from 6-7 (Eastern Time), there will be a remembrance ceremony for 9/11. A local kiwanis club is setting up 3,000 11-foot US flags, once for each person who died in the attacks. They also did this back in 2003. The flags are set up in a grid. Think of Arlington National Cemetery, but each headstone is an 11-foot flag. It will be much like that. The bagpipe band I play in will be playing there, twice. Once at the beginning, then at the end with amazing grace. I will be playing the solo intro to amazing grace, and then once through at the end after the band finishes. All local tv networks will be running this live, the governor of Georgia will be there, national congressman, etc. 2 years ago, when the kiwanis club did this same exact thing, it was the opening screen on almost every newscast accross the United States. It made national TV on FoxNews, CNN, ABC, and NBC. Now... I am playing a solo, in front of 10,000+ people live, and an estimated 5 million people live on TV. I am nervous as crap. :ohnoes: I'm playing in about 6 hours, and I'm leaving to drive there (30 min drive) in about 3 hours. I'm not sure which national tv networks will be showing this... just wondering if anybody wants to check some major networks around 6 eastern time? I won't be playing the solo until 6:50 or so, but the band will play at 6 for the opening, and again at 6:50 or so for the closing. Just thought I'd let you all know. Still nervous as crap.... :ohnoes: :uhh:
  14. Ok, well... I've decided I'll see what this OoC is... I'll play for fun, not for money like I did before. 8-)
  15. this is true. But... maybe not now... Ok, well, I guess after a good nights sleep :3> lol, meh, jagex won't use my 15 bucks for nothing. Also, no I did not share my password. But, it is obvious I had it set to something my friend could easily guess... I was stupid and set it to a phrase I say a lot  . That won't happen again. And, I guess I'll get a bank pin set too. Thanks guys for the sympathy... I'll add those of you who sent me your names. Also, the dude from the OoC, could you hook me up with them somehow? Anways, I'll try it out for a day again... funny what a new day gives you.
  16. Well... I got the last straw today. I have a total of 2 friends on runescape. Make that one now. I had taken a short break from runescape since april (when my sister got married)... family stuff going on, summer got chaotic. Anyways, I finally got another 3 months of membership a few days ago, which meant I could actually play, because I had some bank space. I never really posted much here... quiet guy in runescape... usually asked questions when I needed to, gave out a few sets of mith to noobs who needed help... mentored one guy until he was higher level than me, who then proceeded to kill me in wild, taking 900k+ of my stuff. Needless to say, that friendship ended in the blink of an eye. :wall: Since April, I've had about 2 friends. They were nice... said hi, we met sometimes, gave each other gifts, etc. Until I logged on today. One of my "friends" was on, and pm'd him saying hi. He didnt answer. Then he said "check your bank". I did. I had just bought 22k pure ess and a bunch of glories to make some nats. Ess and glories gone. I had a few misc worthless things I had kept from selling that were still in my bank (dds, stuff like that). He said, "I did it. Just wanted to let you know"; then he logged off. Well, thats the end of it. Jagex, enjoy my 3 months worth of members cash. I just don't feel like starting over again... I gave my last friend my dds lol... the last thing in my bank worth more than 30k. :( I'm sure none of you know who I am, but I guess thats just the way I am. RIP bagpiperdude: lvl 76 combat, almost 1,000 total lvl. That was a goal I had... but I just don't feel like it. g'bye tipit. its been fun runescape. :boohoo: > off to bed... I'll check this thread in the morning I guess... edit: no need to reply really... just saying good bye. If you really wanna say bye, even though you never knew me, thats fine. But don't feel like you need to...

  18. I'm still trying to figure out how I managed it.
  19. Well... I fell off of a 25-foot bridge one time. Long sotry short: Family reunion in California. We were camping on my great-uncle's mountain (he owns a logging company, so he owns about 100 sq. miles of northern california). There was a little bridge over a creek, which the bridge was just wide enough for a car to go over. The creek had eroded its bed quite a bit, and was about 25 feet below the bridge. I was waiting for my turn to ride the one and only bike there (which was the only fun thing for the 10 kids to do at this reunion). I looked at the edge of the bridge, and saw a 4 inch high peice of wood running along the edge. I decided I'd try to balance on it. Heh. Smart. I had gotten about half way accross the bridge, when the girl riding the bike came up behind me, and said, "I don't think that is too smart, is it?". I, thinking there was nobody around, had the crap scared out of me by this sudden voice. I swung around, and not thinking, stepped right off the bridge. It was one of those cartoon moments, where I felt like I was hanging in mid air, waiting for gravity to kick in. And bam! I was falling a split second later. I looked around, and saw a twig right above me, and by instinct, grabbed it. And I fell 25 feet onto a massive pile of sharp rocks, holding a twig. :-w Next thing I know, this girl is looking over the bridge at me. The bike was also looking over the bridge at me... and was hanging a bit too far over. Watching the bike fall through the air was not fun... especially since I couldn't move. KA-WHAMO. I managed to limp back to the camp fire, and tried to hide from my mom. Ehh... didnt work so well. I managed to make excuses to not go to the hospital... but for about a month afterwards, my ankle hurt. Other than that, just some major gashes from the bike. If I had gone down any different way (i.e. not feet-first), or had been a foot or two to the left or right... I would have been impailed onto smoke [bleep]ey rocks. :ohnoes: Also, at a camp one time, we were shooting some rifles at a target range. Some noob next to me didnt know how to use it, and picked the rifle up, swung it around becuase he didnt expect it to be so heavy, and "accidentally" pulled the trigger. Bullet missed my face by about 6 inches, and slammed into a wooden post next to me. I heard the whistle from the bullet. :wall: Needless to say, the kid got sent home, at parents expense.
  20. Nope. Go try it out. I always thought it worked how it makes sense that it would (how you say it works) until a friend told me otherwise. we tested it, and he was right.
  21. Ok, Right now, if you add a name to your ignore list, the only difference is that you cannot hear them talk to you. It does not make you appear offline. Now, I would like to see that changed. Some people I know in real life constantly talk about runescape... it gets very annoying. So I told them I don't play runescape anymore. That made them shutup. The only problem was that I had to set chat to friends only, and add them to ignore. Then, since they were not in my friends list, I looked offline to them. I really think ignore should be changed. It does not make sense the way it is currently set. Before having chat to friends, if a noob is following me, often times I just added them to ignore. But, the problem was that if they added you to their friends list, they could chase you to different worlds, by seeing what world you were logged in. That got really annoying. Anybody else agree??
  22. serving out plate after plate after plate... and over again would get boring. go to addicitnggames or miniclip if you wanna do something like that.
  23. I didn't either until a while ago.... then when I told the world, I got flamed to hell because "EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT N000000000BZOR!!!!1!!!11!!!1!!one!eleven!!" sorry, kinda o/t I know... lol
