The definition of a scam? Last time I checked, scamming was decieving. I did not decieve him. In fact, I almost did not accept, thinking mage bows were a few more gp than willow bows, and really I wanted cash, not more items to sell. But then I remember the mage logs are 1k each... so the bows must be more. And, he offered 1k of them first, then declined, then said, "well..." and traded again, offering 600. He willingly put them up... I only said selling full initiate, nothing like, "Selling uber-rare gold trimmed armor!!! Better than dragon!!one!!!!11!eleven!!!1" or anything like that. Scam? I dont think so. Just luck... and some envy on your part.

I'll bet theres a way around it... But I guess asking in the tech forum would be against tip.it's rules... Sorry man, that must really suck! :cry:

Yeah, I decided to clean out my whole bank, and start over. Gee whiz, am I ever glad I did!!!! I sold my obby cape for full spined and addy boots... a good 50k or so more than cape... but get this: Sold my full initiate... and this lvl 80 gave me 600 magic short bows for it. At first I thought it was so-so deal... then I looked up magic short bows.... and holy spewing cow!!! I made about 1mil - 1.5mil off of a set of full initiate... Im sitting here stunned... Also, today came accross a pile when doing a quest... in it? A glory, wealth, granite shield, white beret, and dds! :-) I think she died of thirst in desert lol... it was in the pyramid. :o :) :D :shock:

not to be the storm cloud... but that was in a joke book I had when I was younger, which my mom had when she was a kid. Then I heard it somewhere else, with a different name, saying it happened a few months before the time I read it in that article. I highly doubt it is true, seeing as the joke book was published in, oh, the 60's, and the article implied it happened in the early 2000's... But still, its funny! :lol:

well heres mine: I was several months old, and at that time on of my sisters was 2. We would be riding in the car... me in my car seat and my sis next to me in hers. I would make a grunt noise, grin, and then my sister would go nuts, screaming, saying "Dung said uh!!!!". She called me dung too, my real name is David, but she'd call me dung. Probably why I would make the grunting noise. I did it a lot, and people say it was obvious I would do it to make her mad. haha... innocent children.... err... yeah.... I also have another sister who's name starts with an "H". Well, my mom would make hard-boiled eggs, and then put an "H" on them, so we knew they were hard-boiled. Well, I thought the "H" stood for my sisters name, so I never ate any, thinking they were all hers. (I was like 6 or 7 at the time) Well, thats mine! :lol: :oops:

I aslo expect that every one else will respect each other. -- There are several religion topics on this thread. I think most of you are familiar with what the "Bible" and who "Jesus" and "God" is and are. But, lets start from the beginning. God is the creator of this world. The creator of whole universe. He was around before the world. He was around before time. He created time, and because of that, was here before time. He created everything, hence he was here before everything. God is a trinity, meaning he has three forms, yet all three forms are the same being. The Father, who is most oftenly meant when the name "God" is used, the Son, who is God's son, yet the Son is still part of God, being one of the three beings, and the last is the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of me, all Christians, and works in you and I, whether you are a Christian or not. So Jesus is the Son of God, yet remember, he is still fully God. While on earth, he was fully God and fully man. Call it a divine mystery or whatever you want, but that is what I believe. The Bible is the word of God. God gave us commandments to go and make disciples of the nations, and gave us the Bible as a tool. The Bible is holy, and not to be altered in any way. It is the word of God. Heaven and Hell are also talked about a lot. In short, heaven will be a wonderfull place. Think of all the joys of this world, multiply them by 10, and that will still be a small taste of heaven. Heaven will be "a new heaven and a new earth". This world will be the same, just much better. No pain, no suffering, no death. And it will last forever. Anything you have ever wanted to do, you will be able to do in heaven. Hell is the oposite. I often imagine hell as a massive red fire ball, with me suspended in the middle. My hands and feet are bound, I am stripped naked. Imagine your worst thirst ever... square it. Then square it again. and again. No matter how much pain you feel, it gets worse the next second. And it never ends. Hell is not a "dirty" place where you get drunk, play cards, and do other "dirty" stuff. It is pure misery. Sin should also be defined. We are all sinners. Now, you do not just sin when you lie. You sin in everything you do. Why? Becuase of the first man and the first woman God created. God created us to live with him, be perfect, and enjoy him forever. But, when man fell, we were forever seperated from God. This was God's plan too - man's fall did not cause havoc in God's plan. God is always in control, and will forever be in control. You can read about the fall in the Bible - look in the book of Genesis, chapter 3. It may be a good idea to read chapters 1 and 2 also (very beginning of the Bible, it gives the creation story) to get an idea of what is going on. So why do we sin in everything we do? Because when man fell, every desendant after him was doomed to an eternity in hell. In everything we do, we sin. This is often called "sin nature". There is much more to it, but this will have to suffice for now. Those are the very basics. Now what is Christianity, really? Are we a group of people, trying to find out what happened, how we got here? No. Are we a group of "good people", trying to show the rest of the world how good we are? No. Are we our own sub-culture? Are we a lifestyle, like a diet? No. What are we? We are just like you. We are sinners, we have the same problems as you... lust, sexual temptations, hate, envy, greed, pride, you name it. Yet there is something different. We have God. He came to save us by dieing on the cross, sacrificing his life for us, and all we do is trust in him, accept his mercy and grace. We also try to follow his commands. Since we are still sinners, is is not possible to follow every single one, every single time. But we strive to follow him. We do not strive for good works. We were saved by grace alone, not through works. That in itself is a comfort to me, I do not have to be perfect to go to heaven, all I have to do is trust in him. We are not a group of Bible-thumping goody-goody-pants. We are not the moral police patrol. We do not try to set ourselves apart from the world. We are called to be in the world, yet not of the world. -- That is what I believe, and only the beginning. I have no clue how many words I've typed in this post, but I did it not to preach to you guys, but to tell you what we are. I'm sure that some of you reading this who are Christians are thinking, "the heck is he talking about? I don't think that!". Well, first, this is what I believe, not you. Second, please, if you think that, challenge what I said. Not so I can prove you wrong, but so that you and I may become more knowledgable. Thanks for reading! not to be racist at ALL... but... southerners like fried chicken. I'm a southerner... but I dont... but thats just me. But in general, they do. Come here to the south, you will see more blacks than most parts of the US. Why do Chinese like rice? well, thats the main food of China (or was for a long time), and mainly chinese populate china. Very impressive indeed! At the end, they say there is a lot of work. i.e., cost is 2-3 times more than gas. But without eating that cost right now, there will be now way to advance that technology. Kudos to Iceland.

But thats one of the changes that needs to be accepted. People say, "But this, but that, but this will change". Look at it this way: Lets say you were in a car accident. Your car is totalled, but every one is fine. Now, the insurance company proveds you with a rental car until you find a new car to buy. You can either: accept the rental car, even though it may not be the $35,000 car you had before. Or: You can scream and throw a fit saying its different, and refuse to drive it. If you take the second route, you will be stuck at home for a long time. Thats what people are doing with the oil. "But its going to be different if we switch do a new fuel". Yes, it will. People do not like change. Humans are wired that way. But, when push comes to shove, you have to accept the changes. Also, new jobs will be created if they use water as fuel. My only question with water is, what happens to it? Turn into vapor, or disappear?? If its #2, 500 years from now, we will all be wondering what the heck happened to water. :lol:

I find it annoying that people in general want to switch to alternative power sources NOW... yet... they do not like the idea of hydrogen powered cars, ethanol, biofuel, electricity, or any other possible source. They think electric cars don't perform well enough, hydrogen is too expensive and dangerous, ethanol damages the engine, biofuel is just dumb, etc. But, they have to have something else NOW! Last time I checked, when technology comes out, it is not perfect right from the start. Now that may not be a big deal for the first of a kind, i.e. when cell phones first came out, they were unreliable, had a very short battery life, and were monster sized. But that was not a problem. People would accept those limitations for the ability to talk away from home. I am sure people complained about size, etc, but for the most part it was not a big deal. Again, to change to a different main fuel, there will be many problems. People will have to decide whether they want expensive, reliable fuel, or whether they want a cheaper fuel that maybe does not work as well. And when a fuel comes out that we can viably use and switch to, people need to understand that it will not be perfect. Yes, it will be annoying. But, they've either got to stop demanding that we switch to something else NOW! or, wait and accept the problems as they come. Welcome to the imperfect world.

I am torn between the two... I believe the death penalty is good. The Bible says that if a man kills another, execute him. (with exception of war, accidents, etc). So in one way, I was hoping for death. Yet in a different sense, I do not want him to die. He would be a martyr. Somebody for all other terrorists to look up too... "we wanna be like him". So I am glad he got life in prison. I just hope they make it miserable... hell on earth. There is no excuse, ever was any excuse, and never will be any excuse for what he did. Ever. To put that many people through pain and horror and fear is just sick. Now that is looking at it from the point of view as seeing the impact on the rest of the world. If it was him and only him that knew of this punishment, or maybe the rest of the world couldn't care less, then I would hope that he would get death. For him there will be nothing worse than death. Ever. But when taking into account the thoughts and actions of the outside world, I am glad he got life in prison.

Ok, so I want a dragon medium. Lets say I reeaally want it, not just want it. If I have to spend 1 month doing something, I guess I'd do it for dragon medium. So: Yes, I can craft nats. They seem slow though. Maybe its just so stinkin boring that it makes it seem slow. Recharging my 4 glories can get tedious too... rub games, walk, charge, tele etc. I'm willing to spend some cash to get a different level up if needed, as long as I can do it within, say, 3 or 4 days. Please, no mining or woodcutting. Smithing isnt bad, just mining :-D thanks guys! Also, feel free to tell me what other stats to get up. I've been playing 3 months total.

Finally!!! I reached 60 def! Woot dragon med helms look out for the noob!! :-D Then I found out they were 750k or so... I had been told they were 300k (!). Heck i dont have 750k laying around, so i decided to maybe possibly get a med from a drop. I know, very unlikely, but I had heard the bronze dragons drop a dragon med once out of 150 or so. Maybe, with my horrible luck, I could get it within 6 kills?? So, using the measly 60k I had, I bought 40 sharks. Put on my full rune, looked through my bank 5 times over to make sure I didnt forget stuff. Rubbed my glory, popped into Brimhaven cave. Now I was sweating... I'm a lvl 74, attempting to kill a lvl 134 (I think?) dragon. Yeah, smart, aye? Oh, and lvl 41 prayer, not the 43 needed for protect from melee. Oh well, I just needed that dmed!! Make my way through all the dogs, fire giants, and made the mad dash past the black demons. And behold, there, standing in front of me was the all-powerful Bronze Dragon! Oh God! I inch my way towards him, right click, select attack. I managed to get a measly 14 in on him, then a realised my mistake. The flames of wrath poured out of his mouth, the stench suffocating me. I turned and ran... but my 59hp was ran out all too soon. He finished me off with an awe-inspiring (for him at least, for me it was more like a poop-expelling) 37. Fried human in full rune for lunch! Ah well. My point? I forgot my dragon-fire shield. Plain stinkin stupidity. Maybe I should make a list before I go a-killing. Also, I was stupid for attempting to kill them (I figured 6 would be the maximum I could kill) at my level. So in short, dont let the want of items get to you too fast! -- btw, hope it was half-way entertaining!! :lol:
