  1. I was selling some runes I had made in world 2 in varrock. As usual, I was wearing my full rune and had all my money with me incase I saw an awesome deal. Lag... Lag... *connection lost attempting to re-establish* My ISP went down for 5 hours or so, so no internet stuff would work. I didnt think much of it. I log on a few hours later, and I'm standing in lumby with my rune plate, hally, and kite. I lost 500k, 450k worth of runes, almost full rune, and a few misc rune items that I was selling from fire giant drops. I have only been playing 2 months or so after taking a year long break. I payed for p2p... but I just dont think with my sad stats I could make that much cash again. To me 1mil is a load of money. I'm giving the contents of my measly bank to my friend next time he comes online. Farewell to all. :( Maybe I'll hang around the forums for a bit...
  2. Sorry - yeah, I am certain I am a noob to you. I was refering to them as "noobs" only because that is a general term that, while maybe not totally accurate, is easily identifiable as the other party (2nd party) involved. Also, which do you think is easier to see, type, etc? Noob, or f2p-er, or non-member. Noob rocks my boat in that case. See sig if you disagree  (nothing personal intended at you by the way)
  3. Lamest put-down ever
  4. lol I find it funny how sometimes people act like they know it all... if you try back flipping off your high horse (we know u are too great to "step off"), you might have some fun in "noobyworld" Oh well, I'm perfectly content to have fun without you.
  5. My bad if its wrong forum... I'm assuming its right... I'm a fairly new member, and I still enjoy showing off all my stuff to the f2p peeps. After doing the Pirate Pete subquest, I pull on my fishbowl, breathing gear, crab claw, and rune hally. Head on over to a free world. Log in and BAM! 4 or 5 peeps followed me. noob: WHAT THE HECK is that stuff you have Other noob: he has a fishbowl on his head noob: WHY!?!?!??111??one!! Me: I tried to eat my pet fish, but I got my head stuck in the bowl. Now it wont come off. So they had to give me breathing gear so I wouldnt suffocate. noob: wow.... noob: .... noob: How you get pet fishy?? Other noob: Its members only noob: Oh. *5 mins later* (noob now refers to a new noob following me) Noob: Cool space suit Me: Thanks! Noob: did you go to the moon yet? Me: No. I came from mars. I need directions on how to get back. Could you help me? Noob: Are you a quest? Me: ... Noob: Like theres a new quest now?? Noob: Sure, I'll help you get back! *noob runs off into varrock west.* Noob: NEW QUEST GUYS!!!! The guy is standing out there, he needs to get back to mars. *noob gets called noob by peeps in bank, but some come out anyways* *I log off* And I about wet myself laughing at this last noob... I'm a quest... rofl    I did all this before the diving gear was common. Now its harder to do... although still possible. I think members are liking their "space suits". And yes, I swear, all this did happen.

I can see how a spell checker wouldn't pick that up, but you might want to change that to every (if that's what it should be). corrected. thanks!! And... maybe I will try a sequel!
  7. I felt out of place in my full steel armor, calling out in the Varrock market, "Selling feathers!" It was another day spent to provide for my cat and I. I lived in a small room in Draynor, and walked through the woods of the manor house 5 days a week to get to Varrock. The other two days were spent killing chickens and playing with my pet cat, my only companion in life. I was drenched in sweat. All my usual buyers had enough feathers in stock, and the new surge of feather merchanters was taking a toll on me. The gnats and flies kept bugging me... I longed to do something different! By now it was lunchtime, but I didn't have enough money to buy a trout or even some shrimp. I had run out of my stock of chicken the day before. I only had one choice - go kill a rat and eat its meat. Once the dreaded task was done, I stole a bucket from the general store and filled it up with water from the main fountain. The cool water soothed my sore throat, hoarse from yelling. I headed back to the bank, preparing for the dull afternoon's work. Then I saw her. Standing in some green dragon hide, with an oak bow, asking politely for directions to Draynor village. I stood there admiring her for a few seconds, then came back to my senses. I stepped over in her direction, and told her I would be more than happy to take her there. She agreed, and off we started. I decided to take her the long way, through the ritzy Fallador. She admired the white washed walls, but soon we were out into the peaceful countryside. The fresh air was - well, refreshing from the stuffy bank atmosphere. All too soon we had passed a sign announcing we had entered the small town of Draynor. I told her this was my hometown. I had lived here all my life, never able to afford life in even Port Sarim. But, at least Draynor was a step up from Rimmington. Surprised at this, she told me that she was moving here from the far away town of Rellekka. She had escaped with only her life and clothing from a group of barbarians that was invading. A friend of hers was letting her use their vacant apartment until she could find a permanent place to live. The months flew past... she was a skilled fletcher, and we spent all day almost every day together gathering feathers, cutting trees, and making arrows. Eventually, we had enough money to start buying the feathers, spending more time cutting logs and making arrows. The dull task was actually fun in her company - she had many stories to tell of the world she had traveled. We grew closer and closer, and finally I asked her if she would marry me. She agreed immediately. The next three days were spent buying the fanciest clothes we could afford and inviting our few friends to see us get married. The day of the wedding, we all made the long trip to Varrock on our quest to find Father Lawrence. The day before, I had secretly bought her a diamond ring. It cost me all my life savings. I even sold my mithril scimitar to buy her this precious present. She was not expecting any gift from me. She knew I had no money, and neither did she. All we had for each other was our love. When I gave her the ring, she cried. It sparkled and shone so bright when she wore it on her delicate finger. She was the most beautiful person I had ever seen, standing in her white gown. All the commotion of the wedding attracted a few people into the church to watch us get married. As we were leaving, a very old man in some plain clothes came up to us. He told us he remembered the day he got married. He used to be one of the greatest warriors in the world. He was called upon often to kill the fiercest dragons. But now he lived a quiet life, and spent his days farming. He loved to watch the plants grow; he loved the smell of the flowers. But he had lots of money in the bank. He had so much that he would never be able to use it up. He handed us a sack, bulging with gold. Neither my wife nor I had a chance to say thank you before he disappeared into the crowd. To this day, I have been searching for this man. He gave us so much, yet got nothing in return. It is my fear that he died soon after giving us this gift. Here was the one of the greatest men of all time - yet the library of Varrock does not have even a chapter written about him. I wished I had written down his name. Maybe all I can do is write about the few minutes I had in his presence. ------ This is my first try at writing in here... please let me know how I can improve this, and what you thought of it! Thanks!

  18. I'm a lvl 42 noob... started in january '06 (I played a while last year, then quit lol... couldnt resist coming back). But anyways, when I was lvl 30 or so, I killed a guy with full mith. He was skulled, so I get everything. I was feeling nice, and pmed and asking if he wanted his stuff back (I am a black pure too, so mith is worthless to me unless I sell it). He accepted, and tried to pay for it. I told him it was free. Anyways, sometimes I keep a list of peeps I kill in wildy. I put him down on that list. Last week or so, I got killed in wildy, skulled, lost about 70k worth of stuff market price. (Not too bad). I was annoyed, but on my way to bank to get cash and buy more stuff. I get a pm, "Hey man, you want your stuff back?" We met... he told me he always gives stuff back in wildy because of a guy who did that to him a month ago. Some people cuss him out even when he gives stuff back, but because of this guy a month or so ago, he still gives stuff back. He walked off, and I looked at his name, then checked my wildy kill list. Same name. I tried to add him to my friends list, but his chat is on friends only  Some people really do have a heart
