bull912000
(the next day) ... and brighter trees, and wood textures, and lighter mountains (hard to see, but it makes a differance), and more shading on the helm, and shading on the moon, and some fixups on the stars (gasp). bull912000
........ and some textured trees, and a cleaner transition from the light from the lava, and a rune-color to the hally, and an even darker helm.... bull912000
I didn't like the castle ( I'm sure you didn't either ), so I took it out and stuck somthing better in... the pleatu with the cosmic rune spawn. Please give me plenty of c&c. (To mods)Notice at least 1 day difference between each of the four posts above. gandorf_101
well i think this is a VERY worthwhile sig to C/C on cuz its got alot of potential ! fristly the sky isnt too bad BUT imo it should be changed to a darker colour like a dark grey basicly like the color of those hills, also adding a some grey clouds could make the sky look HAWT! im liking the castle in the background its looking nice and u've used all the right colors so good work with that but however whilst we're on the topic of colors POMG plz change the color of that axe (also more shading on it would be nice considering its a big feature in ur sig).... cuz i havent played RS in years but i can tell you that is not the color of run or mithril so im confused! even consider taking a screenshot of some rune in game then taking the colours from that. ok next bit of C/C; focus more on your shadows plz i have noticed how your shadows are all over the joint... u need make basicly image where your lightsource is, then make all your shadows angles according to your light source this can be a very big improvement to the quality of you're sigs. i think in your image u may be getting confused with shadows because i can see uve tried to make the angles right according to your light source (the moon) but the tree on the left has a shadow angled like this | and the tree on the right has a shadow angled like this \ when the moon is as far away as it is.. this has no effect on shadows like that, so if you think about it they should be in the same direction :) by the way... u should be adding a shaddow to that castle also... ofcourse not as long of a shadow because its further away but i think that could add the image. now lets talk about shortcuts that shouldnt be taken in pain 1stly lets talk about the line tool... DONT USE IT BECAUSE IT MAKES UR IMAGE LOOK BAD lol... unless its absoloutely needed for somthing like background buldings and such like your castle. now lets talk about the fill tool.. again dont use it unless its necissary.. really its just an easy way out of shading properly... i know that ive caught u red handed here because u mist a spot right above that dudes head... lol but yer dont use it unless its necisary... now lets look at the textures u have used.. -ground; the ground isnt too shabby but i think if you worked on small things like changing the ground texture u could come out with a more proffesional looking image -sky; as i said earlier i think u should change the sky color to a darker color almost exacly the same as the color of those hills and then add clouds.. for clouds u should have a kind of "dragged" texture like uve put in diffrent shades of grey and then dragged them into the shape of a cloud if that makes sence (use MxM's sig as a REFERENCE http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/5448/misterxmansigdarkprincefinal23.png) ofcource mxm's is in the daytime so its lighter and has less shades in it but u would want darker shades for nighttime and maybe more of them imo. now a big thing which i mentioned but i will say again just plz also play around with the axe and hands shading and textures... im not saying change the linework because if thats what you want thats fine, but there needs to be detail and more use of shading on things like that when theyre so close. anyway thats all the C/C i have... gl with ur image im sure it will look very nice when its completed cuz its definatly got pertentual (and yes i cant spell im sorry) edit: i relised u had updated the one i was C/Cing :P but the changes i wanna make to what i said are: i think a plain black single pixel border would look better and the text is horrible sorry :P and i saw u fixed the fill thing above hes head.. but i still dont like the sky color + now u have a new fill issue at the bottom of the axe... another example to prove my point that pixel by pixel > all :) -gandorf

I disagree with that to a point. Though the shadow angle was exagerated, I have fixed them to a point to where they're realistic. The shadows have differant angles for a reason. Say you are between two street signs and are between the shadows. One goes to your right and the other goes to your left. If I were to have the shadows aligned with the view, It would go off in two different directions. Thank you for the other c&c's very much. It should look much better once I'm through. bull912000
This is what I have so far. I'm still looking for a rune color though. Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy
