Mercifull
Unless you do a complete government wipe of your pc and do a clean install from scratch it will never be as fast as it once was. But you can make it fun a little better than it is right now... [*]Firstly delete any unneeded files, burn stuff to DVD/CD as backup and get rid of the old junk. [*]Uninstall any unused programs and games. You can always reinstall if you really need them [*]Clean out all temp files from your pc [*]Do a complete spyware sweep and get rid of all the crapware that may have accumilated (see stickies for help) [*]Make sure you are running the latest version of windows and have updated drivers for your system [*]Add some more RAM to increase thge memory on your pc. Try that for starters ^_^ Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. tunaboy692004
mercifull covered basically anything you would need to know. Also if you are a music downloader, try deleting all your music that you dont listen to, or all of it Current Goals80/80 Fletching60/75 Woodcutting97/100 Combat

weezcake
Remember to use your disk defragmenter. It lets your computer rearrange the data (it's like moving books on a bookshelf; everything will be there but the computer will know where it is and will combind "broken up" files). Defrag will speed up computer access times also. And if you know what you're doing, you can prevent certain things from loading up when your computer boots up (like background programs you don't need). Start -> Run -> msconfig Startup tab shows you what's starting up when your computer boots up (don't mess with anything else). Please only do this if you have some kind of computer knowledge. Or have someone knowledgable help you :) ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.
Mercifull
I said goverment wipe because i mean a proper complete delete to nothing and start again not just a simple reformat and reinstall. It should make some kind of difference, especially when your HD is highly fragmented (20%+). Otherwise, they'd simply take it out, no? :P ==================================Retired tip.it moderator.Teaching and inspiring.

Joe
Or if you have some spare cash get a bigger HDD or a new stick of RAM! This will boost your PC's preformance. Joe. :D [Admin Edit: Referral links are not permitted in signatures or posts]
