April 23, 200620 yr Yea, I have lived on a farm for 16 years. Cows do have horns, usually when the heifer if young though, about the same time it is given it's Vitamin A,D, and E shots and tagged the horns are usually removed by applying a paste to the area of the horn. The paste burns the small buds that would eventually become horns, preventing the horns from fully growing. It really burns when you get the paste on your fingers though. Sometimes the horns will not be removed from the animal until a mature age, through the process of cutting them off, or burning the tips. Both processes are very gory when the animal is this age, and not a favourite method because through the horns are large blood vessels, the vessels are about the circumference of a dime, which lots of blood travels though. You can see why cutting them off is not a fond way to remove them. That is your daily farm report. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
