New pixel - Penguin (2nd ever pixel)

Took me about a hour (because it isn't finished yet) and I need some C & C from the tip.iters as I have no idea where to go from it.

 

 

 

 

UPDATE : added text, took about half an hour, and spent about 10 minutes on cleaning up the lines. (Cleaning lines up isn't finished yet)

 

 

 

 

Another UPDATE for you lucky people, I tried to shade it better :) oh, and I got rid of the phat, I mean come on! Ever seen a penguin with a paper hat on before?

I was thinking maybe a snow scene with maybe a frozen lake further away.. and an idea for text "They're smarter then you think. Grab your gun the invasion has begun".

 

Any feedback on that? :?

Nice penguin, sort of reminds me of the ones in Futurama.. with the guns.. :!:

 

 

 

Try to make his body more round, shading the edges. Also clean up your lines, and make the phat lines straighter.

will do! and that was sort of what i was aiming for, if you mean the ones bender tried to join :P . I'm thinking of giving him a slanted eyebrow indicating he is evil. But this might lose the realistic style, and make it more cartoony, which I don't want. :?

Yeah, make the shading blend in a bit more, especially on the wing, there are only like three shades of blue, because its too easy to distinguish the different shades, has to be gradual if you know what I mean.

Yeh I think that's the bit everyone's looking at. It is for me, it just doesn't quite blend well enough.
