Featured Replies

C/C and no mindless bashing like Godslayer thank you.

The colour changes are too harsh, and there is a distinct lack of proper dithering, I think. I'm not a pixeler myself you see but the changes seem much too drastic.

is the edited one better?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

No.

A bit why not try to just shade a simple small rectangle from a bright shade to a dark shade.

like this below

---------

dark

light

---------

worth a shot.

Why don't I tell hom how to improve? I already have. If you're so determined to make pixel art, go google pixel art and look at everything you see, go to sprite art.com, absorb everything and clear your schedule because you'll need countless hours of practice. But my best advice would be to learn anatomy irl and learn how to render things on paper first.

well this is shading not anatomy so...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Shading has everything to do with anatomy. If you have a messed up figure, excellent shading isn't going to fix it.

http://www.spriteart.com/main.html- Good site for pixel art, go to tutorials.

Rofl...Okay.. This can get locked now.. What you did was horable, and obviously you cant take any advice if your going to talk to GS Like that...

As soon as everyone calms down.....

Apperantly, you used sprey paint to shade. To learn how to shade, I would suggest that you read a tutorial. There are about 5 on pixles and they all contain different stratigies.

Though, for sprey paint and other that the drastic changes in colors, you basicly have the right idea and should make an exellent shader with practice.

Dont bash Godslayer :x , he is one of THE GREATEST pixelers out there!

I have seen tons of his work and if you dont think he can shade then... Your a noob 8-)
