well I was following one of the well written tutorials you have here, and it tells me to get some abstract brushes from devianart, ok I do that after some difficulty, then download them and spend half an hour finding out where they were, I finaley did and think, ok now I have to upload them so i go to load and load em but what to I get? nothing! my page sort of does a reload type thing then after that I'm thinking, ok here they are......no! it goes back to my previouse brush set and this one is nowhere to be found:( also I need help with renders alas another trouble! it says i don't have enough space on my scratch disk, so I can't open a new one

You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."

Which version of photoshop are you using? did you place the brushes in the Presets - Brushes folder?

If you have CS2 it should show the brush name on the list look down the line where the load function is...

I suggest save your work and re-open photoshop.

If you know where all the brushes you have downloaded are gather them into one file and copy them into your Photoshop Directory into Adobe>Adobe Photoshop CS>Presets>Brushes. Now paste them in there and they should automatically load the next time you open Photoshop. If not well you know the directory to load them from by going to the Brush Choice in Photoshop and hitting ">" then load Brush and find the brush you wish to use.
