Seeing as how I haven't actually posted any work here for a while, here's something I finished last night as concept art:

I'm still trying to figure out a good way to use an eraser for smudging.

He has virtualy no forehead, he lacks definition of the side of the face

( His chin and lips and nose being more than hard lines) His crotch is down too low, and his legs arent long enough. If his entire body is facing away at at least 3/4 at the legs and 1/2 perspective in the abdomen, his foot would be feel very awkward in that position. Don't be afraid to turn the feet and do something other than the classic one foot directly on and the other at 1/2. Also, check out folds on real subjects. Unless thats dense heavy cotton or something the pants legs would not be so... mushy looking? Hard to describe.

mm actually gs i like the head... the hair looks like its coloring the forehead

about the angle though i have to agree wtih gs its been used a thousand times before and it probably would be uncomfortable

Yeah, the forehead is covered by the hair.

Drawing folds has eluded me for a very long time, despite my best efforts. The pants show that, but the coat is intended to be the way it is.

I admit it looks uncomfortable since the perspective doesn't really show that the buttons on the coat are along the left side of the body, but beyond that it's a fairly comfortable "at ease" posture. Were his legs bent, he would be en garde.

Appreciate the constructive criticism, though. Keep it coming.

I really really really like the sword. His feet are positioned strangely though, and the foot in the back looks a little too large. The coat and pants look good, though they could use some more folds to show more dimension. Good job. It's very very nice. ^_^
