May 22, 200620 yr Right, I just got assigned a lot of bloodvelds for slayer. I checked Axe Man Jack's excellent thread which said: 1. Bloodvelds have mage based attack 2. There are safe spots for rangers/mages My question is: how can there be safe spots if they have a mage based attack? Other advice on slaying them is gratefully accepted also. Cheers df
May 22, 200620 yr Author Cool, thought it might be like that but hadn't heard of anything like it. Thanks, df

May 22, 200620 yr Just range these guys... No food is used and that's always a good thing. When you get too the bloodvields they are in two areas. Stick with the first group otherwise a aberrant spector might decide to attack you from the far room and can I say they are _not_ nice. So, here's what I would suggest: Go pass the first bloodvieds at which point you are forced to make a left turn. Stand right there along the L-shaped wall and arch from there. I usually let the vieds start to pass the wall then fire. They won't be able to reach you as the wall stops 'em. I'd alslo suggest taking fire staff and some nats this way you can stay for the whole assignment. Well, good hunting!
May 22, 200620 yr Aberrant Specters cannot attack you since Jagex changed the doors to the room. As soon as a player goes in or out of the specter room, the door automatically closes. You have nothing to fear from them anymore
May 23, 200620 yr Author Thanks for the help guys. Just need to stock up on arrows and get round to buying that mage short and I'm away :) . Thanks again df
May 23, 200620 yr Jellies also have a mage based melee attack. You still have to use protect melee btw if you want to use up your prayer points.
