  1. Hi... Do I have my facts straight that you __can't__ use prayer during fight sequence? Also, has anyone fought these guys? Is it strictly a melee fight or is range of mag better? Any advice besides... Lots of good food and super set... Would be most appreciated. Ta
  2. After looking over your question it got me a bit curious. I know that sometimes it takes a while to update information on the various websites regarding new pots etc., but rune tips skill guide does not list this pot at all. After googling it. I found the following: The pot has the same effect as super restore, In fact, you have to start with a super restore and add ground unicorn, snake weed and nail beast nails. (It requires a lvl 65 herblore to make.) So... if you get 143 exp for making a "Super Restore" an additional 17 exp for adding another 3 ingredients doesn't seem out of line. (Not sure if it's actually worth all the extra effort... Unless you do a lot of wall beast fighting.) Have you heard anyone actually trying to sale 'em... maybe they can't be traded like the pot "Magic Essence." Would someone in the _know_ plz post and let me know. Ta
  3. Sorry... Didn't see if you were a member or not, but if you are and you've done "Grand Tree" quest then the mine under there is excellent, IMHO. Good luck!
  4. Just a few thoughts: One thing I've noticed and I've seen it be a costly (dying) mistake is when players forget to turn off "auto-retaliate." You can get into trouble depending on your combat lvl because of the multiple archery's that are off to the side. (Protection from missiles is helpful, but having auto off is a big food and health saver.) Oh and don't forget a one click teleport. It can save you heartaches, headaches, an a long walk back home. Good luck!
  5. Hi... For some reason you can take arrows in your quiver. What I do... Is take the highest lvl unstrung bow I can string and a bs. Also a needle, some thread and two soft leather pieces and metal studs. Once you are down under the island: make your self some chaps and top. Then add studs for added protection. Then string your bow. Kill zombies for an axe and then go get ya some "nature spirit." Even if you end of maging it. It doesn't hurt to have some armor, but mostly it depends on your mage or range lvls. Just be sure to get behind the mushroom either way. BTW- I'd also advice turning off auto retaliate. That way you can't be drawn out if the "Spirit" backs up. Good luck!
  6. Go to Edgeville dungeon and kill "hill giants" they drop limps and sometimes herbs. Most players leave limps on ground so bonus you get their's also. Another "new" place to get herbs is by the spirit tree in Varrok. There are a bunch of bandits in a camp near by (close but not in the Wildy.) They drop a lot of (rope), but also some good herbs. If you want a cheap way to up your stats try doing relicyms balm. Of course you had to have done or started"Zorge flesh eater quest." It gives 40 exp vs 50 exp you get from strength pots, but with the "balm" you can just pick the ingredients, so no money needed. I'd also check any quest you qualify for and see if the rewards list herb exp. it can add up quick. For vials buy at store in jungle on Brimhaven or Shilo Village is cheaper then anywhere else and they have lots of 'em. BTW- What's your farming lvl... Every night just plant lower lvl herbs before you go to bed... It's a crap shoot, but the seeds are usually dirt cheap and so you won't need to worry about some dying. Anyway, good luck!
  7. Get key in room to make for easier access (ask someone if you're not sure) to the Hill giant areas. Then Kill Hill Giants for "limp wurt roots" or pick up what other players drop. Just go to one of the busier worlds and wait until you hear someone offering 500 or more for em. Big money with the bonus of getting combat skills as well. Ta
  8. For myself, I've found Dagnnoths, Turoths (need special weapon for them,) are preety good for higher lvl seeds. BTW - I'd also try to do "Throne of Miscellenia" quest, so you can do mini game where they "collect" resources for you. Tons of herb and tree seeds.
  9. FYI - If you take silk to Karmja, buy some rum, an add it too silk you get a cleaning cloth. Which then can be used to remove old poison off weapons/ arrows or sold. :) (You can't take rum off island or into cave, so just fill up your bag with silk then add rum and your set.)
  10. This is what I do: I take planks I picked up at Barbarian outpost (respawn) or Entrana when I'm making laws. When I get a chance I mine clay and limestone and smith some iron nails. Then I make Imp fountains (10 clay & 10 limestone) x2 per trip. What space I have left I fill with planks and nails and hammer and my saw (I have a crystal saw from Glouphire quest,) but I won't waste it while making wood rocking chairs. It's not exciting or glamorous, but it's cheap. BTW - I use ring of deuling (I made) and jump back and forth. I've lvl'd to 54 in my spare time without spending much at all.
  11. FYI --- If you do bloodvieds and don't want to take a lot of food. First turn off auto retaliate then run into the middle of the room and stand along side the wall. Once you shoot em they will align themselves with the wall and can't get at you. I usually hit two of em and have em lined up, so I can double my efforts. (Just be sure they die close together, so you can collect your arrows without getting attacked.) Ta (This takes practice, but once you get the knack it works great.)
  12. Just thought I'd mention: Swamp tar is stackable, so it's real quick to collect. Just go to lumby swamps around the Water altar and load away to your hearts content and then your wallet won't be out 600 ea. Hey... They even made it easier by taking down the stupid fence past the graveyard, so no need to run all the way around the city to get to the swamp.
  13. I loath paying for logs. I would use a games necklace go to Barbarian Outpost. There are like 5 or 6 that respawn quickly. Just fill your bag and get to bank. It's economically feasible because I can make my own rings of deuling and games, so I just jump back and forth. If you can't make 'em yourself, see if one of your friends will trade gems and gold for rings and necklace It will be cheaper that way. BTW - How do you know they are autoers?
  14. Just FYI -- I buy my vials on Brimhaven and Shilo village. They have 50 at a time and they add up quick that way. Tarromins are easy to grow... Just before you log off every time just run/telly to the different farms and plant em. Then when you log on you have some that will have survive and some that will have gone to "herby" heaven. It's hit or miss, but the seeds are easy to come by or at least they aren't too expensive and you won't wasting time watching em grow.
  15. Hey.... You're not the only one with ::no hide nor hair:: it's just something my grandmother would say. :D An she was all american like 80 years in a row. As for your question: I would try to find someone who's done the mini game and have them go into the abyss with you. It is in the Wildy, so it can be hazardous in other ways. Occasionally, some "punk" mage will try to do you in. So, be careful and if you see any white dots lurking run. :) The only time I wore my good armor was to go in and fight the abyss monsters. Prayer pots or lots of good food are good because your pray is drained when you go inside and you're skulled. A ring of life may be helpful and remember you need telerunes or ecto or ring of deuling to get out of there. (I wouldn't wear a glory... to risky.) Well, good luck. If you catch me while I'm on... I'll see if I can help ya. Ta!
