May 24, 200620 yr Its not a bug , it was intentional. It will be restored , but as I am in the processing of running a VERY cpu intensive rebuild script to fix the search tables , I HAD to cut out as many database queries as possible , and unfortunately , every time a topic being opened and sending an update query to add +1 to topic views was the easiest way to cut my overhead.
