Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Most of the complicated quests you can't even see each other during it because each player gets his own little personal room thingy until the place turns into the actual city or whatever. But you can always do a quest with another player(but you wont' interact at all questwise; you can still finish the quest without the other player being there), so you can help each other out when you get stuck. pokemama Posted May 27, 2006 Share Posted May 27, 2006 I've finished most quests alone, but have accompanied several friends while they did a quest. Best reasons are to help carry extra food for them if low level, to pick up their stuff if they die in an area I can access, and for general company or instructions. Some people recommend taking a friend during the Temple of Ikov quest to help carry the 20 limpwurts. Taking a friend to fight Elvarg isn't too great since the friend cannot enter Elvarg's cage with the quester (although a telegrab might work on their stuff, who would bother?) This is also true of the Iban fight in Underground Pass. I've gone with several friends for Legend's (no lockout areas, but a companion needs to bring substantial stuff just to access the areas: machete, hatchet, pick, runes for door, etc). I have HEARD that a friend can "mostly" kill something and then the quester can finish it, but dunno if it's true. It doesn't work in Legends, for sure ("you don't want to fight this demon again"). it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
