huge_lion
and where should I train to get to those levels? moss giants? something else?
Dark_Protoman
you most def need more training, it is hard and 1 dragon breath could knock your hp off. i suggest hill giants. youll need a brass key to enter near varrock 7 years playing, no respect and no phat. talk about owned wth a capital "O"
huge_lion
okay, I will look it up. any other thoughts?
Doomster
If you don't want "wasted" defence levels over 40 (in other words, a "rune pure"), then try to do it at level 33 defence, full addy / anti dragon shield - the extra defence from the quest will put you at/near 40. I'd go for melee, 40 attack and rune wep. Tele runes, for a quick escape (but if you plan on that, go and open the wall first, then reload with food if you lost too much). Good food... Lobster, Swordie, or at a pinch, the level 25 cooking stew (only 1 less healing than lobster). PS. If there is a good death drop from a previous victim, you MUST take it before you finish your fight, as you will be out of there if you win (and in Lumby, if you lose without teleporting first)
huge_lion
will do, I am an excellent cook:P I have lobbies, stews, pies, pizza's etc. etc. so 40 def isn't really required?
Serpent_Arc
so 40 def isn't really required? When I did the quest, I'm pretty sure my Def was below 40. I finished 'er off using Melee, and that was pretty easy. Rune isn't really a requirement; I only had addy full on (plus anti-shield... you must have it...) with, er, an addy b-axe I think. And she only took a minute or so. Swordies or lobbies... or stew. Good luck :)
Chao0104
I killed Elvarg when I was lvl. 49, you dont need rune at all, as long as you have good food with you, anti-dragon sheild, and lotsa luck( :D ) it's easy to kill her, i killed her with full addy(well, it's not really full addy because of the anti-dragon sheild, but oh well :D ), less then 40 defense, and rune skimmy, plus only like, 6 lobbies, lol. huge_lion
hmm right now I have full mith except for plate which is black, I am saving up to get full rune and increasing my stats for that. it feels like a waste to buy addy just for the quest, can I do it with full mith, rune scimi and anti dragon shield? should I train my defence to lvl 40 aswell to get my rune defence-stuff? and right now I am training mostly on varrock guards and dark wizards, moss giants are nice but too busy and that's why I can't get any drops. are there other good trainingsspot for me? for melee? I allready have a nice place to increase magic...
T. Skill
If you have a lot of trouble killing her and she's getting in good hits, everytime you need to eat run behind one of the crumbled structures where she can't hit you and restore your health before reentering the fray. That way when you get back into the fight you're less likely to have wasted any food healing while being attacked at the same time. This is the strategy I used, I beat the dragon at level 45 I believe with full addy, a rune scimmi, and of course an anti-dragon shield. I left with a half a pack full of lobbies left after I won because I conserved my food by running away when I needed to eat. This is a very good strategy and it worked very well for me. Good luck in your dragon slaying! Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate? Markup
I use to be a pure.....untill one day i found a bone spear and thought hmm...intresting attacked a monster and got lvl 2 def (i dont regret it pures are so boring!!). So i decided to train defence....got board carried on doing other things. I was combat lvl 67 when i did the quest lol how easy it was....i went in with green dragon hide legs and ruen chainmail and dragon longsword with power ammy and one way teleport to varrock. I had 8 lobbies with me which i have to admit i never used. When u enter the cage of the dragon go strait to the left in that gap and hey uve bascialy killed the dragon without attacking it! now when ur ready jsut side step the barrier attack then go back in. in no time its dead.....it wasnt much of a challenge when i had my dragon long so i never used the cover after about 3 attacks. my stats when fighting the dragon were...attack: 60, strength: 62, defence: 40, prayer: 26, hitpoints: 59 now that was a long but easy quest
meol
I did it at these stats: 41 attack, 40 strenght, 40 defense wearing half addy (plate and legs) and a rune scimmy, and i amnaged it quite well. ... Tele runes, for a quick escape (but if you plan on that, go and open the wall first, then reload with food if you lost too much). ... I'm 110% sure that you can access Crandor without having pushed that wall. You only need to have landed on the island. This signature is intentionally left blank.
