bookrhino Posted June 2, 2006 Share Posted June 2, 2006 I was doing the Royal Trouble quest, and I accidently forgot to search one of the fire remains. Annoyed, I was grumbling to myself when I forgot to use a plank on one of the slippery rocks. Well, as expected, I took a nice hit. But then I started worrying when it hit again...and again...and again...and again. I try eating some food to combat it and get to solid ground, but it was too late. Before I know it, I'm standing with those symbols of death, the White Knights. I lost about 450k-500k in items (I have about 550k, which was supposed to go towards my first whip :x). Be cautious! Note: I did not click it again and again...I only clicked on it once. I'm not that stupid... The morals of this story: 1. Be careful when doing new quests. -and- 2. Always bring an ectophial! It's not like I kept on clicking it...I just messed up once and it kept on getting hit for 8. Even when I tried to click on solid ground, I still lost health. Can somebody confirm this? pokemama Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 well, I dunno if this relates to the problem you had, cos I haven't done Royal Trouble, BUT ... When I did Underground Pass and Regicide, they have some obstacles where you fall into a pit of [bleep]es. I couldn't find the handholds to climb out right away, because I'm not very good at clicking specific points. So I kept taking 15hp hits over and over until I finally scrambled out, screaming the entire time. :) So perhaps you were in a striking trap of some kind and had to click somewhere to get out of it? I don't know for sure, just a suggestion. RAHK Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 I too almost died but not from the slippery part. I decided to walk on the steam vents and it wouldn't let me off until I was at 23 hp (from 87). Both of those things are rather extreme. It should hit that high but not nearly that fast. Sorry for your loss but I don't think it is a bug. Most likely a bit of lag. If you click on the slippery thing you get hit a bunch until you slide off.
