Recommended Posts

I'm currently lvl 31 and money is real hard to come by.I can barely afford my armour/weapon.

Is there any way to earn money since I cant chop yew, craft runes,or fish?

I've been selling feathers but they are not making me a decent amount.

Kindly tip me.

You could run ess for the World 16 Air Company, they normally pay 2500gp+25 noted ess for each load of 25 unoted ess. If there are enough crafters around you can make 60k in about an hour. Unfortunately, there are often a shortage of crafters or crafters only paying 1-2k per run.

pesonaly when i started i went with mining. just do copper and tin until around lvl 20, then mine iron until your around 40. once your at 40 you should have around 2k iron ore which you can sell for 200k gold. then mine coal. since we have con steel bars are going way up in value so iron and coal are going up as well :D

You can "note" items by first putting them into the bank, then click a button at the bottom right that says "note". Then take the items back out of the bank and they will be "noted" meaning they weigh nothing, are stackable, and unusable for anything but trading. To un-note an item store it in the bank, make sure the "note" button isnt selected, and take it back out the bank.

To run ess first go to the South-East Falador bank at world 16. You will need 25 ess (rune essence) and an air talisman or tiara. You can mine the ess if you have done the "Rune Mysteries" quest, or you can buy it. An air tallisman is a reward for the "Rune Mysteries" quest, can be obtained by killing monsters, or you can buy it. A tiara is just a wearable tallisman and isnt neccessary. To start, take your talisman, 25 UNOTED ess (no more, no less) and go to the air altar (its South-West of the bank and you can find it on the Tip.It Map here)

Once at the mysterious ruins click once on the talisman and once on the ruins, you will be telliported to the altar. There will be people crafting there. They will say "Open" when they are ready. Trade them and offer your 25 ess. They will give you 25 noted ess and either 1-2.5k in cash or 100-150 air runes. Accept the trade and click on the portal in the bottom left. Head to the bank, store the air runes or cash, un-note you ess and head back to the altar. Repeat as many times as needed.

The peak may be over, but construction has raised oak logs from mere firewood to a worthwhile trade.

The tree of log uses are:

1. Logs: Arrow makers occasionally buy them - fairly rare trade, but if you can supply 1k on demand... Air running probably pays a lot better though.

2. Oak logs: To make oak planks... Sold a few hundred at 100 a piece, but better to have 1k - prices are probably heading for a slide.

3. Willow logs: To make medium level bows - though Oaks have been trading higher

4. Yews: For the penultimate level of bows, but if you are cutting them, you are already a woodcutting elite.

Feathers are another good low level material, as you can combat train on chickens for as long as you are able, stacking up feathers - the main use in bulk is for making arrows or darts. Maybe if you have feathers and logs (15:1) on world 1 Varrock.

Cowhides: collect at Lumbridge, take to Al-Kharid to bank or trade - some traders may be buying tanned leathers instead, but do not tan them unless there are buyers, as you would be committing to hard or soft leather.

Thanks to "pure essence" the glory days of essence trading are over, though there can still be some buyers - maybe you end up selling 1k of ess to an air crafter, and then meet them again when running airs.

PS. TRAIN FISHING

I like to stick to fishing, cooking and discarding shrimp until level 10, since no supplies are needed (carrying axe and tinderbox to chop & cook).

Then do bait fishing, to do it free, trade the sardines uncooked at the fish shop, while cooking and saving the herring - not the best food, but certainly good enough for combat training.

On reaching level 20, switch to fly fishing trout, save any leftover bait and the bait rod.

At 25, use the last of your bait and fish some pike, then either switch back to fly or do pike until 30 if you use them for combat.

At level 30, fly fish for trout & salmon, cook all, discard trout - continue until level 40 (lobster) - I don't reccomend Tuna. Besides, for anywhere I can get out of easily, a few salmon or a pack full works wonders.

Fishing is not a great money maker at lower levels, but is a great money saver and keeps you battle fit for longer.

Once you reach lvl 40 fishing and start doing Lobsters, don't cook them if you want the most money. Raw lobsters sell for more than cooked lobsters if you sell them in bulk on the forums.

They do [lobsters] cost more raw...people pay the extra for some cooking exp.
