i think the actual look of the defender is atrocious, it's barely noticeable to see people wielding one. Surely a bigger looking sword would have been much more aesthetically pleasing

 

 

 

an actual defender isn't for fighting it was used in dueling to catch the other ones sword and break it or bend it and it supposed to have points on the crossbar so it is supposed to be small

 

 

 

but it would look cooler if it was bigger
