Again, you will have to kill until you are lucky enough to receive this drop. Continue this for steel, black, mithril and adamant to finally get to rune...."

This is stupid. I killed hundreds of them and only got a bronze defender. Great job, jagex make people work for time spent trying to get your rewards instead of just setting a ticket price for them. No, but you want the rewards to rely on luck, like everything else (like the combat system itself...)! Poorly thought up update IMO.

I think they should fix this. So if you have animated armor it stays there no matter what untill it's dead or wahtever you do to it. I havent had the chance to go there yet

It gives 20 EXTRA attack bonus + 5 str to your weapon. Thats not too shabby...

 

 

 

You will hit much more accurate with it.

 

 

 

I think this pic is enough to say it owns. With that set up I am getting +132 slash bonus on a whip and you can't see it, but I also have a 109 Strength Bonus. I am going to own those portals in pest control :mrgreen:

Please be more polite, especially when you are unsure (or wrong in this case)...

 

 

 

If you kill the animated armor, then that rune armor appears on the ground sort of like a pk kill. Therefore the armor is on the ground and will appear to other players after about a minute. It's also possible that the rune will simply fall on the ground for all players to see if you log out whilst fighting it, so I wouldn't do that either.

it owns, i was staking with it... man... i did some damage... i was hitting protect from melee people when fun dueling.

i think the actual look of the defender is atrocious, it's barely noticeable to see people wielding one. Surely a bigger looking sword would have been much more aesthetically pleasing

the reason that it is so small is that it is really a dirk. In the past when duels where carried out for the sake of a man's honor, one of the weapon styles was to use a rapier in one handand a dirk in the other. this allowed you to parry without tieing up your sword so that you could strike when you opponent had no defense.

Yeah i agree, i'm hoping *if* and *when* they bring out a dragon one they make it big and chunky looking.

i kinda like it, you swoosh around when you block with it, looks quite nice to me.

the big question: can 1 def pures use a rune defender?
