Always have protection from random events on (I wear d.hide at all times), and avoid showboating your rare constantly unless you wish to risk lag and random event combos.

Pest Control is not a game where you get to show off to other players your valuables. Just bring good armor and train there, I have never heard this happen to anyone before, and it truely must suck, but least now you know not to bring anything valuable into pc. Also you now have the ability to warn others about the possible danger, so next time you see someone at pc with rares let them know what happened to you, so they can think twice about bringing rares into the game.
