chenw Posted June 16, 2006 Share Posted June 16, 2006 your combat level doesnt reflect your stats at all. what the guides say about combat level is that they assume that your stats is pretty balanced (rather than a pure say). your ranged and prayer certainly doesnt need anymore work, but a bit more defence and especially magic will bring you far. If you dont like mage training and want to start barrowing now, use Fire BOLT with chaos gauntlets (the additional 1 damage by using Fire Blast does not justify its double cost). Noctis Posted June 17, 2006 Share Posted June 17, 2006 Isn't the max hit of Fire Bolt 12? So plus 1 would be 13. And the max of Fire Blast is 16. So that's plus 3 damage points. I recommend you get Slayer up to 55 while raising your defence at the same time. Slayer dart and mage bow with rune arrows. Or Crystal bow. I think crystal bow could be cheaper than a mage bow with rune arrows. Then again you can pick up Rune arrows... But.. oh well. That part is up to you. Having a Karils xbow could also make it a bit cheaper if you can get your kill count high enough to cover bolt racks used per trip like you can with the Deaths and Minds used in Slayer Dart. I recommend you go to General P2P and look for a thread that asks people to post their Barrows Pack and pick out one that works for you.
