prayer:65

mage:75

QUESTIONS:

1) well i was wondering should i kill the melle brothers while wearing veracs but while casting slayer dart cus with veracs u get a gd prayer bonus or shud i mage them with ahrims?oh and do i need to take veracs helm?

2)is it a gd idea to take a crystal bow? because it is stronger and faster than mage short with rune arrows and it doesnt cost so much for each arrow its about 72gp ea if i charge it for 180k but mage short cost 400ea per arrow!

3)with 65 prayer how many super restores (4) will i need,i am not taking p pots btw cus super restores are better? would 2 be alright?

4)shud i take whip and obby shield or full veracs with flail?cus if i take full veracs i can use its special effect in tunnels?

5)y do i need to sidestep?cant i just sip my potion while killing the brothers?

6)i will be using kalis armour for rangeing ,do i need to take the coif?

7)i was also wondering once u climb down the tunnel mound where do u end up?which room do u end up, north sputh east west or is it completely random?

RECIPE FOR DISASTER:

1)i was wondering how many quests do u have to complete?i no u need something like 157 qp but i was wondering is that like all quests e.g would completing every single quest giv me 157 qp or can i do less than every single quest to start recipe for disaster?

2)how many and which subquests do u need to do to get the barrows gloves?so basically i wanna know which subquests i need to complete to be able to buy barrows gloves?

i will edit if i have any more q's

ty!

EDIT: i have added another question to the barrows section

i was also wondering is the barrows gloves tradeable?

I dunnow at barrows but heres answer for last 2:

1. No but ull need a big part of them. Search quests that give like 5 qp or something

2. Since u need Recipe for Disaster for Barrows Gloves

And to finish recipe for disaster (with all things) u have to complete: Cooks Assistant, Fishing Contest , Goblin Diplomacy, Big Chompy Bird Hunting, Biohazard, Demon Slayer, Murder Mystery, Nature Spirit, Priest in Peril, Restless Ghost, Witch's House, Gertrudes Cat, Shadow of the Storm, Lost City, Monkey Madness, Desert Treasure, and the Horror from the Deep quests.

So those will be it

To do Recipe for Disaster to completion and get Barrows Gloves, you'll also need to do Desert Treasure and have 175 quest points. There are too many other requirements for me to remember off the top of my head. You don't need Desert Treasure and 175 qp if you only want the Dragon Gloves, but you will need all the other requirements. Dragon gloves, you'll need to do all subquests but don't need to do the final fight. Barrows gloves, you WILL need to do the final fight and have the 175 qp and have done DT.

I have been told that one dose of Super Restore restores 25 prayer points regardless and only Prayer pots with lvl 76+ prayer is better. So you try and figure that out. If a crystal bow is better for you, then take it. I use Rune arrows. I buy arrowheads from stores and attach them to my own arrow shafts. Idk if it's cheaper or not. But since I wouldn't be paying only 180k to charge a crystal bow, it's cheaper for me.

I guess the prayer bonus is good. Sure. If you want to, take veracs. You don't need the coif. Ahrim is very weak to range attacks so you should have enough range bonus to rip through him like tissue paper. Just watch your hp since he can hit 20s.

I think the sidestep is for ppl who don't drink prayer pots while fighting. Maybe these are the people who don't use prayer on the melee brothers, in which case, they sidestep to avoid getting hit while they restore their Hitpoints.

When you climb down into the tunnels, it's random where you end up, but you will always end up in one of the rooms and never the tunnels. Also, the room with the ladder to get back out will move elsewhere if you answer the puzzle door incorrectly.

not true, the ladder will remain in place, the door to the chest will change however.

1. I recommend Verac's if you wanna save prayer pots, i never liked havaing 100 mage attack bonus down in the crypts, having +10 is good enough for me.

2. Mage short you can recover your arrows, but if you already have crystal bow at 150k charges, then go for it. Mage Short is for those who doesnt have such a c bow.

3. Super restore will always restore 1 more point than Prayer pots. And for some really bizarre reason, it is easy to find super restore pots that is cheaper than prayer pots. If you bought some super restores but they are more expensive, i recommend taking 1 and rest prayer pots. This is because it will allow less burning of money but will also allow you to heal your knee caps if Karil decided to shoot your kneecap, ankles and stuff... (i mean the agility lowering effect), very good choice if you are killing karil before verac.

4. Whip and rune kite i found to be very good, because you can tank mage the lesser 2 melee (Torag and Guthan) without prayer pots at all (unless you are prepared with 20 p pots to do 50 runs without banking or something), and is also useful in the tunnels. Verac's set effect is only effective when you are actually hitting something that's heavily armored, and those are the brothers. i found no problem at all with whip in tunnels with +100 or so slash bonus and 79 attack.

5. Side step is for those who isnt used to barrows and need some breathing space, however at your combat level, i didnt find a use for the side steps.

6. No, keeping your verac's helm on is good enough. it has no magic defence penalty and it provides some prayer bonus should you decide to use your left over prayer on him.

7. you will always end up in one of the corner rooms. That room will always have 3 doors sealed and 1 door open, but it is totally random as to where that room and what door is open. You will never end up in the side tunnels or the middle (chest) doors.

Recipe for disaster

1. you must complete the following to complete the Recipe:

Desert Treasure

Horror from the deep

175 QP

and all quests needed to complete the sub quests.

You do not need to finish every quest to get the 175, i have aroud 18 incomplete ones and i have 187 qp.

2. You will need to complete the ENTIRE quest (including beating the culinaromancer) to access the barrow gloves. Also the game only counts the NUMBER of subquests you finish to determine what gloves you get, not the individual ones.
