No_OnE
I created my first 3D orb today and I wanted to know what everyone thinks about it... It's pretty basic. Just leave some comments and maybe some tips too. Thanks!
Goldwolflord
I know infinite tutorials on this, and it doesn't really take much effort once you have that telling you what to do. There's not even any shadow/refleciton below, or shading on the bottom. It doesn't look that 3d, and the text makes it look less 3D. Not exactly impressed. The main reason I posted it was so I could get some suggestions / tips on things to make it look better and more original... I wasn't expecting anyone to be amazed or impressed. Goldwolflord
Well you could find a better tutorial, and one or two about creating 3d text, or using text effects... Add shadow or reflection, or a glassy translucent circular look... Like when you look through a glass ball in real life, you see the room behind it all distorted. And some shading on the lower half - there's a highlight - but no shadow.
tunaboy692004
IF you want it to look 3d, have the text bend so it looks like it fits around the ball. That will make it look more 3d. sebbeberg
I've seen countless of these on Putfile, still no "aha" expression..
misterxman
Simple but text doesn't seem to blend much with the green. It's got an interesting subliminal face staring at you though. o_O Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
_k0m0d0_
When you say something is 3D, make sure to make it 3D, otherwise it wont be or look 3D. O.o Anyways, its not original at all, is you search for "3D orb" you will find tuts that will last for your grandsons learn something when PS will even not exist. First of all you need to put the text in the 3Dish, the text makes part of the orb looks plain. Next, you need to work with the shadows and lights, they're not exactly right, almost.
