Would i survive a barrows trip!?

been looking at the guides on here and i think its do-able BUT i dont have the cash to replace items if i die, so is it really worth the risk?

 

 

 

also i wont be taking my whip, cos i only jusy got it and would cry if i lost it lol so would a d-long be sufficient? Id have slayer staff and probably be wearing

 

 

 

zammy robes

 

obby cape

 

rune boots

 

slayer staff

 

glory ammy (is there anything better to wear?)

 

 

 

 

 

will alos take black dhide, magic bow, p pots

I'd suggest a God Cape from Mage Arena. If you die with it, you can go back for a free replacement. Plus it has +10 mage bonus.

 

 

 

I'd suggest some other boots that aren't Rune Boots. Maybe Mystic boots.

 

 

 

I suggest a Zammy book or Guthix book if you have either of those.

 

 

 

There is no better than a glory ammy.

 

 

 

Maybe you could take a set of melee defence armor for when you raise your kill count.

 

 

 

I think you can totally do it. You just have to have a good strategy for each brother and stay calm. Take an Ectophial too if you have one. Your emergency exit if anything were to go wrong.

I'll have to get a god cape soon i think :) as for boots thats easy i'll just buy mystics.

 

 

 

i can take rune armour thats not an issue either. As for the panic isue thats my problem lol i get really quite stressed and get all shaky :anxious:

Watch your prayer at all times. I hate when i have Dharok in the tunnels and when you open a door, he hits 25+. Most of the time he hits zeros but when he hits, he hits high... so pray :pray: at all times or use a safespot, and i would not reccoment sidestepping.

 

 

 

Oh, one little suggestion, bring a SPADE, it ill be VERY USEFUL :wink: .

 

 

 

Also, you can use a teleport tablet or crystal instead of ectophial if you haven't done the quest yet. I use house teleport table, recharge prayer at my house and go through Karryrl portal. But seeing as your construction is not on the highscores yet, you might want to stick to ecto :P

Yes, and you'll only need 1 pray pot dose a trip (some exceptions) if done right. The rest can be lobs. (Maybe 5 shark. My def is slightly higher than yours.)

 

 

 

Waste natural pray on dharok.

 

Drink a pray pot dose and kill karil.

 

Kill everyone except verac and the tunnel guy. (Full rune maging meleers and ranging ahrim in hides.)

 

Safe spot mage verac.

 

Kill the tunnel guy however you feel like it.

 

Get kill count, run to chest, and tele.

 

 

 

EDIT: By the way, no reason to use rune boots, obby cape, or random miscellaneous stuff that's so costly to replace.

barrows is pretty easy just keep an eye on your prayer and thats basiclly all

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: oh and for the guthan spear i only got 6 kill count if you want more money and runes and stuff get higher kill count.... the kill count doesnt effect what barrows armor or weapon you get

Try not to use Mage outfit unless you really have money to burn, because praying all the brothers is a complete waste of money. Kill the lesser 3 without prayer potting (Guthan, torag and ahrim, wear melee armor and mage guth and torag, and range ahrim).

 

 

 

I have found absolutely no benefit of wearing full mage outfit. the only thing i saw was i needed more prayer pots (which is a waste of money, because food is cheaper).

 

 

 

Verac's set is good for both melee protection and prayer bonus, as well as having less magic penalty.

Use prayer on Ahrim, or you'll waste lots of food, especially at 60 magic.

 

 

 

I use my natural prayer on Dharok, i have around 35-40 left when I'm done, kill Ahrim using around 15 prayer points, then finish my prayer on Verac, when prayer runs out I put on full torags and mage. Then I kill Karil, Torag, and Guthan without prayer. If Ahrim is in the tunnels then I do not use food, unless i don't have any food left. I safespot Dharok.

 

With this method I use zero prayer potion dose, and around 5- 10 monkfishes.

 

When I'm on ancients I use prayer on Dharok, Ahrim and Karil, and use blood blitz to heal instead of food. More expensive but you don't have to bank every trip.

 

 

 

So yeah, try to use prayer on Ahrim. And if you use msb, use the special and you can finish off Ahrim in less than 18 prayer points.

Just to add my piece: definitely food enough with your stats. Slayer dart is definitely the way to go. I did my first few barrows trips at about level 80ish and I managed fine. The first trip or so, you might want to use a few more pray pots - I used 3 or 4 pots on my first trip, just because I was unsure what was going on. Now I use 2-3 doses per trip.

i didnt say barrow using verac's set special, note that i mentioned verac's set as an armor to wear while maging. I wear full veracs minus flail to mage the melee and ranger.

strange.. karil hurts me far more than ahrim, well i suppose because i usually kill ahrim very much quicker than karil, which is why i dont pray him...
