Blood Spells or Guthans?

I was just thinking of the debate between using blood spells and Guthans. It's a bit like the bones to peaches one when mage arena came out. Seeing as doing desert treasure gives you the blood spells whch effectively heal you by as much you hit on the other player, would it be worth paying the mills for a set of Guthans? Discuss.

Well it really depends.. If I am training melee, my magic bonus is going to be really low meaning that whenever I cast the Blood spell I am more likely to splash than hit anything and heal. Not to mention If im training melee, I want melee xp, not magic xp.

 

 

 

But while training magic, you usually stay in a safe-spot so you don't need to heal anyways..

 

 

 

I think guthans is still superior. (in most cases).

Or maybe if you put yourself in the wildy/castle wars situation, when it would be like 7 mill cheaper or whatever the price is.

In the wilderness while Mage Pking sure.. But I would never waste money on Guthans OR Bloods spells for castle wars. Why not just use free bandages?

id choose guthans over blood spells as when you are done with the guthans you can resell it,

And I don't believe the ratio is 1:1 for blood spells I think I remember reading that one time on the Tip.it Ancient Mage guide I may be wrong though I'm pretty sure it was 25%?

1st of all you cant ven use guthans in c warz so dont edebate about it(no helm)

 

2nd its 25% of the attck goes to ur hit points so if i you hit a 20 all you get is 5 so really not a life saver

Well before I answer I would like to tell you that when opening a discussion you should give readers some fruit to comment on.

So on topic:

 

I think guthans is better for a simple reason:

 

When you need healing is when you are either melee fighting a monster or the monster has a ranged attack. In the first case I would prefer bringing a guthans spear to my training spot then filling up my inventory with runes and magic robes.

 

In the second case I would probably still go with guthans because it still takes in less space.

 

 

 

And about the one being cheaper then the other.

 

Guthan would actually be cheaper then blood spells ( if you can afford both ) because guthan keeps it's value but the blood runes ( and you use a LOT of them ) just dissappear and can never be sold after ;)
