ishepp
What lvl are you? And do you plan to fish at all? I just cooked the best fish I could without burning. Start doing lobs around lvl 70, now I'm just about lvl 98, takes ages but its the easiest way. Swordies are hard to buy, hard to sell, so stick with lobs. 89/99 farming

Thieving is the easiest skill. :shame: Anyway, fish lobsters on Karamja, pay 30 coins, do nothing interesting since you can't, and repeat, and then do some mining in stinky mining spots, that's what F2P is, it's boring. Anyway, I'd suggset fishing on Karamja and bring tinderbox and some logs. That will save some money. And fish lobsters there.
idunedain
Lobsters are the best for you, also trout/salmon, it depends on what you want besides cooking. For example, wield an axe, bring a tinderbox, a fly fishing rod and lots of feathers in the Barbarian Village. Flyfish there (fastest xp), when full inventory (-1 free spot), cut a tree, light a fire, cook everything and bank in Edgeville. Or you can bank your raw fish and cook them all in bulk afterwards. This works well if you want fishing xp too. If you are just after cooking, buy raw lobsters, cook them and then sell them. If you use the forums rightly and have some merchanting skills, you could buy raw/sell cooked for the same price. You'll lose some money due to burnt lobs, but not a lot. Don't try this method with other types of fish, there isn't a market for them. Hope this helps, 103 combat | 1M+ xp in each skill (lvl73) | 1800+ skill total | quest capeLevel 86 herblore, 85 farming
stormveritas
Ur wrong. Thieving is the easiest skill. :shame: I'm clearly missing something then, as I'm at level 59 and it takes me forever to level up. I use some fish on the rogue's den, and use cakes to heal when I thieve knights, but it's slow as hell anyway. What's the secret?

The secret is to have a higher thieving level, and then you can get 180K+ an hour. Anyways...I'd suggest fly fishing in Barbarian Village and then banking the fish in Edgeville. I'm doing this till 75, the level when I stop burning lobs, and then I'm going to cook lobs hopefully without a loss.
Junkieman
Back to the original question at hand(i don't have a clue where the thieving comment/debate came into anything anyway). Here's something I heard but haven't tried, take a fly rod, tinderbox and hatchet(equip it to save space), and a good number of feathers, maybe around 300 to start off(will cost you around 1k from the shop maybe?). Then, go fish in lumby and when you fill up, cut a tree and light a fire to cook all you have, then pop over the bridge to the general store, sell all your fish and repeat. This will level your fishing and your cooking relatively cheaply, and fairly quickly compared to karamja fishing. If and when you reach around 70(I'd advise 74, because tip.it says thats the no burn), then start cooking lobs which you won't burn. You can buy these raw and sell on cooked, but it's quite easy to lose out on 50gp per lob. An alternative, but slightly slower method, would be to fly fish in barb village then bank your fish, bank it raw and cook it all later and sell it if you can. For both methods, use all the coins you get to buy more feathers from the fishing shop.
Popsumpot
Would you recommend just brining fly fish rod and feathers, than instead of going to Edgeville, go over to varrock and cook on the range there. Do you know what's the level that i won't burn the trouts and salmons? Visit Popsumpot's Regular Log's Shop on Fletching, where we specialize in getting Regular Logs. Junkieman
Not entirely sure of the noburn level for those, but I would still recommend banking them all in edgeville, then maybe cooking later on. There is a range in edgeville too, but you may not have noticed or seen it because it's upstairs of the general store, it's probably still closer than going to a range in varrock.
