Deadlyfun
I was wondering what was the fastest way to get from 43 to 50 smithing is. I have 500 coal and 250 iron so should i use those or save coal for mythril? I can also mine iron 1 hit (55mining) so should I just get tons of iron and lvl off those? All help is appreciated! \
tyluke
keep smelting steel bars till you get high enough smithing for steel plates than turn all the bars and smith them to plates and high alch them this will give you LOTS of exp and money in the end -step 1 mine/buy ores (iron and coal) -step 2 smelt bars -step 3 repeat one if need more ores -step 4 when at level 48 smith all bars into steel plates - step 5 get a fire staff and nats and high alch plates only 2 skills below level 50 :)
Taito2004
If you are p2p, then mine ironl, and smith it using rings of forging, this I found was the fastest way to do it. However, do not waste the coal on mithril, as steel works out more exp, for the coal that you use. 92/99 Fishing | 119/120 Combat | 92/99 Firemaking | 94/99 Fletching | 1878/1900 Total | 85/85 Slayer | 80/80 Prayer
Goobore
I was wondering what was the fastest way to get from 43 to 50 smithing is. So, at most, you need to smelt and smith 925 steel bars. Stell is popular to use because is requires the least amount of coal (for products worth hi-alching) and iron is easy to buy/mine. I have 500 coal and 250 iron so should i use those or save coal for mythril? Well, generally speaking, the lower level ores (like iron) are faster exp per ore used than the higher level ores (like Mith). For example, steel gives 18.33 smithing exp per ore used but Mith gives only 16. Higher level ores give better gp back per coal used so If you want exp then do steel. If you want the cash then do Mith. I can also mine iron 1 hit (55mining) so should I just get tons of iron and lvl off those? Well, Iron averages 18.75 smithing exp per ore used as compared to 18.33 for steel. So you could level faster doing just iron (no coal required) but the products that you make won't bring in much money. Your best choice is to become a member and use the member's ruby ring. It gives you 140 100% iron smelts. So that boosts your smithing exp to 37.5 per ore used. So, for fastest exp do iron with the members ruby ring. Next fastest is F2P iron. Next is F2P steel. Next is Mith. For money, in order, do Mith, Steel, Member iron, and lastly, F2P iron. Hope this helps.
