You IP can change. I'm not sure how often it is though.

Sometimes it shows your computer name or network id instead of your IP

Most Internet Service Providers set you up with a dynamic IP address that is released/renewed on a regular basis. If you have a router between your pc and your modem, it also has an IP address which is usually the one an external site will see if you are behind a firewall protecting your PC IP.

To find out your PCs IP, go to your command prompt (Go to Start -> Run -> type cmd -> click OK or press [Enter[) then type ipconfig at the command line. For more details, type ipconfig /all.

Man, I love that chicken.

But if you are looking to make a static ip. I think it's some site like

Portfoward.com

Something like that.

Dunno

I believe static ips are assigned by your provider and if you want one, you would have to get into contact with them and ask about it because i dont think some 3rd party site would be able to give you a proper static ip like the provider could.

It can depend on your ISP, if you are with AOL for an example they say they will change your IP address at certain times and they also change it for security reasons. I am not sure how true this is but I am with AOL and they are a great ISP and have never let me down. =D>
