venomai
It looks like you have three different perspectives going on in this one scene: - The water on the left looks like a top-down (birds-eye) view - The grass and goblin look like they are being viewed almost from ground level - The stuff inside the gateway looks like some sort of aerial three quarter view You should always stick to a single perspective for every scene. If I'm just misunderstanding the scene, then you need to fix the pixeling to make it more clear. You should also stick to a single light source. Without a definite light source, your piece will turn into a visual mess. :-k Another problem is, as GS has mentioned, the dithering! Not only has it been over-dithered, but I personally think the texture doesn't fit at all! It's too repetitive and looks like Photoshop's canvas filter. Try making it more "random" and irregular to mimic real life. Don't ever try to draw things like they would appear in a game as poorly designed as Runescape. Instead, base your pieces off of some form of real life... Take your circular looking rock, for example. Now let's compare it to some real life rocks: [ rock drawing tutorial ... may be helpful ] Notice the sharp, jagged edges, and harsh shadows cast in real life. Also notice the strange shapes of the rocks. Remember that rocks along a costline will be smoother and rounder from erosion of waves, and rocks sitting in a field will be sharper and more "square." Right now you've got gradient-style shading, which is a big no-no! As always, let things flow freely and try to give your scene some irregularity. If you aren't sure how light falls on a certain object, look for some references on the net. Other than that, it looks like a great sig which is coming along very well. You're obviously very determined and I can see that you've put quite a lot of effort into this, which is great. Keep it up! And try to keep some of the above in mind for future works. ;)
speedofsound
ug that grass=hawtness You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."
