I have just started Slayer and my first task is to kill some birds.

 

From what I can see these are only on Ape Atoll, but how do I get there.

seagulls in port sarim, chickes everywhere, chompybirds, etc. - there are plenty of birds around ;)

Terrorbirds in the Gnome Stronghold i think has the highest HP for birds, and yes they do count too.
