I know your going to say "Merchanting isn't where you can get money like that *Snaps figures*.

But I've started merchanted and have made 1M. I've done it by buying rune sets in W2 and selling in W1.

Now that I have 1M, what's a good item to merchant now?

i'd buy coal 200ea and iron 100ea, make steel bars sell 550-600ea. it will get u money and get smithing up

ive wanted to try that, but it takes hours to make just 500 steel bars! i think every body that's ever done that either has an autoer :? or can really stick to boring things

personaly i would be buying yew logs and bowstrings and fletching then into yew longbows they sell for 600gp each and you are getting valuable fletching xp

yew logs=300gp max

bow strings=200gp max

=500gp

yew long bow=600gp

profit=100gp+fletching xp

not exactly merchanting but hey your gonna be standing around trying to sell things so why not stand around and gain xp

I now have 2.695 M, what could I do now?

this is a long process but is making me a bit

buy 4k coal for 200 each = 800000

buy 2k iron for 80-100 each= 200k at most

smelt to bars and turn to cannon balls

total buying costs are 1 million

2000 steel bars = 1.2mil so a 200k surplus

or

2000 steel bars x 4 mould = 8000 cannonballs

8000 cannonballs x 200 = 1.6million

so it comes down to a bonus that can between 100k-1mil

depending on how much your willing to work

:D but remember money making is like a skill and takes time to raise
