I'm curious to know, what lvls all you people have that do barrows and to see if I can start doing it to, or how much i have to train, can any1 tell me

hmm u shouldnt have a problem with it except guthan..

 

 

 

guthan is hard unless ur using magic dart or fire blast or higher... but if u get it up ull be fine

though mage is always a problem with me because of getting the runes, but ill try

no problem but if u do do it with fire bolt or wind blast or something like that ull be fine just guthan takes a while cause of his set spec and when u get your reward u should either get barrows items or runes so theres a plus =)

about how many runes would i need to defeat guthan? using earth blast?

you can do barrows but it will be costly.

 

 

 

as for amount, i use around 75 magic darts every run. for you, i'll say take 150 to be on safe side. maybe for first run take 200. get best mage bonus u can and good luck, cuz u will need it.

It's is not the Combat Level that determines your abililty to kill the barrows (very much like Fight Caves against TzTok-Jad, only specific skill counts), because you will NOT be meleeing any barrows unless you wear full verac's and have combat lvl of 110 or higher. Otherwise maging is the way to go.

 

 

 

you have several choices :

 

 

 

1. Train your magic up to about 56, 59 to be on the safe side, complete the family crest quest and have the gauntlets you receive enchanted to Chaos Gauntlets. These increase the damage of your Bolt Spells (Wind, Water, Earth and Fire Bolt spells, the ones that uses chaos runes) by 3, so Fire Bolt would be doing 15 damage if you use these. You might use more p pots than usual, but its fine.

 

 

 

2. Train your Magic to AT LEAST 70, AND Slayer to 55, so you can use the Magic Dart spell. This is the optimum method.

 

 

 

Hints:

 

 

 

1. NEVER EVER use magic outfit unless your prayer is 70+, otherwise its a waste of prayer.

 

2. ALWAYS mage Guthan and Torag in MELEE outfit with no prayer. Since you can wear barrow armor, and your defence is good, you wont take many hits from (at least hardly. Unprayered Ahrim takes more Food than Torag and Guthan combined), which means those 2 are complete pushovers, and Guthan wont heal as often because he literally cant hit you. However if you used mage outfit, guthan WILL heal through your prayer, so thats why people find guthan hard.

You could do it easily, just use mage on all, but you'll have to range Ahrim.
