  1. I barely even play RS anymore, so I don't think it'll be updated unless I somehow get motivated. :|
  2. Ghostly robes don't have any stat requirements, so you could wear them, and to get access to them, you don't have to actually complete Desert Treasure. You do however need 53 thieving, which I see you do not currently have. Another alternative to Ghostly Robes are Larupia top and legs (they're already listed in my guide). They provide a small melee bonus (which could help, seeing as your defence isn't listed in the hi-scores) and weigh nothing. I hope I helped. :)
  3. Seercull fires arrows slower than a Short bow, and the spec is useless at Fire Giants(and everywhere else except PvP tbh). Use a Mage Short bow, or Crystal bow if you can. And if you can afford it, an Archer's ring can help. Also, if you have barrows gloves, they give more ranged attack bonus than vambraces. Snakeskin boots are another altarnative if you don't have Ranger boots, don't wear rune, they give a negative Range bonus and you don't need defence there. If you use the safespot in the door for the first 15 minutes or so, you won't be attacked by the Fire Giants (they become unaggressive after that, so you can use the table/chairs safespots). You'll need Glariel's Amulet to get in the waterfall, and also 1 or 2 ropes to get down the waterfall. Maybe some food aswell (not many, you get lots of drops there) incase you get hit by the Fire Giants.
  4. That's true, I myself have used a whip on her second form (not doing too badly either). I got to her second form and a bit less than half her health in 1 trip using a whip when I went by myself one time. Veracs is the way to go if you're going in a small group, it provides good defence and prayer bonuses, and helps hitting through that high defence the Queen has.
  5. Killing the RC Pkers is always fun, especially the ones who try to Snare you (Yes, they're not even 79 Magic) while wearing Dhide or Rune. :P Going on a KBD trip is always fun too, just get a friend to come with you and you can stay there for a while. Whenever I get bored, I change something. Whether it be the gear you're wearing, the music you're listening to, or even the browser you're using. It usually helps to refresh your mind.
  6. I'll try and make it look "prettier" then. :P You're right, I'll change it now. Thanks, its really appreciated. :)
  7. My guide is in the AOW, under skill guides: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=333760 I don't understand the next bit, I'm not sure if you're saying I'm using too much underline, bold, color and size, or not enough...? :? And if you could tell me what needs improvement, it would be appreciated. :-#
  8. Don't bother, it's in my guide (click the link in my sig) and it has been there for months. Lerupia top and legs provide a little bit better melee defence than ghostly and also weigh nothing, but give no magic defence. It's all in my guide. :|
  9. I just added a few small pictures and cleaned it up a bit. :)
  10. Here's a few screenshots I took to prove that Dhide does have a weight, and that the mith pickaxe weighs 1kg: Dhide Chaps Dhide Body Mith Pick Rune Pick Just to note, I had not seen the mith pickaxe being suggested in any other guide when I thought to add it to my own. :-w
  11. U forgot to minus the p ess price =P 4000 * 300 - 200k(200,000) = Around 1m. Remember, it's only half the ess too. I would've added this into my last post, but I didn't see your reply before I posted.
  12. It doesn't, I checked all of them to see if any were different. Only the Mith pickaxe weighed 1kg (has it changed since I checked it? Which wasn't that long ago) less than the others(all except Mithril weigh 2kg). Hmm, I didn't realise Dhide chaps Weigh nothing, I'll have to try that out. :XD: EDIT: DHide chaps do weigh something.
  13. This method has been listed in my guide for months. You can also pray at your altar inside your house so you can run out with protect from magic on every run, if you want to sacrifice even more lost time. You have to remember the delay when teleporting into your house, when it's loading aswell. Maybe you could do this untill you make 500k or so, so you can buy 10 glories, but otherwise, it's not very efficient. :?
  14. Hi, I think I've posted a few suggestions for this guide once before, but I came across it a few days ago and was tossing and turning whether or not to post again, but I decided I would anyway. First off, very nice, guide. I especially like the picture at the top. :) I, myself, am in the 91-99 Runecrafting range, and can make up to and over 1.1m an hour, without using super energies, while talking to people, hopping worlds for pkers, and generally not concentrating. If I had chat off, used super energies and the lightest equipment I could, and forced myself to concentrate hard for an hour, I wouldn't be surprised If I could make over 4k natures an hour. 4000 * 300 = 1.2m, atleast. Mithril pickaxes weigh 1kg, correct me if I'm wrong. While writing the updated version of my own guide I checked it myself. Prayer books weigh more than a Mind Shield, and also provide less magic defence bonus (although, provide a slight melee bonus). The reason why I suggest using House Teleport Tablets is because if you teleport away using one, once you are inside your house, you can not die and lose items from poison (you simply appear outside your house if you die, you can just walk out and back in your house to act as a free anti-poison, also) or from a delayed attack (has never happened to me, but I've heard stories). They are aggressive to everyone who has recently entered the abyss. Sorry if it seems like I'm being negative towards your guide, I really do think it's an awesome guide. I love all the pictures.
  15. i've been member only for one week so i just didn't know anything about moving around in the members area and i walked several times from edgy to heroes' guild to recharge my glories. if you'd just mention briefly this in your guide, maybe it'll help some other beginners  but what happens to penance gloves if i somehow (kinda unlikey when this guide has been read) loose them? do i have to go through the barbarian assault games again? I can't believe I forgot to put it in there in the first place! I'll definatly get on it soon, I've been pretty busy lately, it should be done by this weekend definatly. #-o Regarding the Penance gloves, I'm not 100% sure, because I've never actually died while using the abyss/with my penenace gloves on, but if they're anything like the Fighter Torso (which they should be) you can just go back and pick them up if you get back in time. I don't really want to be the one to test it, it'd help if someone who has died with them on could post some info on it. Thanks. :-k Thanks to everyone else who posted, I'm glad I could help. :
  16. Heh, thanks, I know it can be a long read. :-w OR you could use a Games Necklace (Saphire Necklace, enchanted) to teleport to the Burthorpe Games Room, then you simply run South to the Hero's Guild. If you have more than 29 glories you can use the Rogue's Den to bank and charge all your glory ammys. That's mentioned in the last section. Thanks.
  17. I don't see why you suggest wearing nothing but a cape and hood (which add to your weight, and only give minimal melee defence bonuses)when there are multiple items that are easily replaced, weigh nothing (some even lower your weight), and provide decent defence bonuses. :-s Especially with equipment such as the Spottier Cape and boots of lightness that actually lower your weight, allowing you to lower your weight to below 0, thus regaining your run energy faster. I won't comment on the guide myself, as I think it will be a biased opinion considering I have written a guide on the subject also. :-#
  18. If you want to make your specs hit a little higher, you should equip your D Mace/DDS and a rune defender. Also you'll need to only bring 1 Shantay Pass per trip. When you go through, simply drop your disclaimer, and then you have a space to take off your D Mace/DDS and Defender once you've used up all your specs on her. Maybe you could add a different set up for when you're soloing/going with a larger group. For example, when soloing you can use Protect from mage, Protect item, and the three 15% prayers and not run out of Prayer before you tele. Also, I can confirm that it IS possible to hit through the 2nd form of KQ with your D mace specs (I personally have hit many 35+ on her 2nd form) and I've also tried it with a whip and hit her quite easily. For larger groups you should either designate someone to bring an anti poison pot, or you can just bring one yourself. Poison can use up alot of health when you're down there, waiting from spawn to spawn. Hope I helped. :)
  19. I don't see why you'd need the fremmy shield, a full set of black D-hide should provide more than enough Melee defence for the monsters, and why use a mind helmet? The Mountain Daughter quest is just as easy, if not easier than completing the Elemental Workshop series, and it gives you some Melee bonuses on top of the magic defence. It's also alot easier to replace, I always hate making prime bars in that workshop. :?
  20. Thanks, it's basically the same guide, just that I've updated it alot. It's listed in the AOW sticky, it just hasn't been moved to the actual forum. Thanks, I hope now you'll get out there a give it a go yourself. :) Bringing a prayer pot is already listed in the guide, although I have to disagree to what you're saying. If you have a teletab and you manage to teleport away, you're instantly safe. If you only have a prayer potion to protect yourself, you can only put on protect item, steel skin, and a protection prayer, all of which can be hit through, and of course if the PKer is using smite, you prayer could be drained. Even through a protection prayer, you still do get hit. Haha, thanks once again.
  21. The Paddewwa Teleport Method is already included in the guide, under the Different Methods Section.
  22. Did you even read why I use a mith pickaxe? It weighs less than all the others. Next time try to actually read what you're talking about. #-o Thanks for comments to others once again.
  23. Yes, it is mentioned, I believe. Thanks for the tip, I've seen a few different set ups like this. I'll leave it for now, as I don't think it's overly important. Uh...thanks, I think? :? Yes, the abyssal passage is always on the opposite side of the Abyss when you are teleported inside. It's not used much, but just thought I should add it in. :) I'm glad you liked it, I have put alot of effort into writing and maintaining it. :o Neither did I until I was rewriting the new Equipment Reccomedations and thought I'd give it a try, knowing that Mith is lighter than most other metals. I also expected Addy to be heavier, but it wasn't. :P You are correct, I should have added it in. I forgot to add this in becuase I don't have much experience using it, because, I am yet to die and lose my pouches. :-w And lastly, regarding the teleport crystals, I also used these for some time before Construction was released, bringing with it Teleport Tablets. I have mentioned why I choose House teleport tablets over other forms of teleportation. If you teleport away into your house with a teleport tablet, and then die from poison or delayed attacks, you will still retain all your items (you will simply respawn outside your house), whereas if you teleport away to the Elf city with the Teleport Crystal, you have to rush to the bank to deposit all your items before you are killed. And I think price shouldn't be a problem, you would only be using 1 Tablet every 20 runs at the most, which I think is abysmal in comparison to the amount of money you would have made from the runes you crafted during those runs. For people with 91+ RC, that makes nearly 600k. They are also a bit bigger in size compared with the Teleport Crystals, which in the frantic situation of being attacked, can be handy if you don't have to squint at your inventory in search of the tiny Teleport Crystal. Thanks for all your responses, they're all appreciated. :
  24. I finally got around to making that update I'd been thinking about for some time now. I hope you all enjoy it. :) Once again, if you find any mistakes, or have any suggestions, please post so I can add it in and give you credit for it. :
  25. I am not totally sure, I'd say it is, but even if it is, it's a bug that doesn't really give you an advantage in the game, so I don't think Jagex will even bother fixing it. There is a section in the Tips and Hints section of the guide about bringing extra sharks or prayer potions etc. I'll make sure to add in Saradomin Brews aswell soon. Thanks (also to everyone else who commented). I wouldn't really suggest using World 18 to RC on, most of the time people don't really "need" to Pk at the Abyss (and let's face it, most people probably spend more on the runes/pots/weapons they buy than they get back from the glory they have a chance to get :-s ) they just do it because you're there, and they see an opportunity to get a free glory ammy. Whereas if you RC on a world with less people in Edgeville bank (or in the wilderness) you're less likely to attract Pkers. Thanks again for your comment, I'm glad people appreciate it, I did put alot of work into writing it. : Actually the Saradomin book (when complete) gives less magic defence than the Mind Shield, and also weighs more. I did have it as part of the Suggested Equipment untill the Mind Shield was released. I will be making a major update to the suggested equipment section of the guide, very soon. :)
