I believe it will be a VERY, VERY long time before Runescape "dies". The only reason I can think of for this to happen is if new technology is created, making RS obsolete, or if Jagex crashes. Runescape is such a unique game, even if there are better games available, it will still be popular. Hopefully I will have quit by the time Jagex decides to throw in the towel. :o

The built-in chat definatly (I am refering to swiftswitch), it's just so conveneint having the chat window open so you can read it while playing RS. The other features don't interest me much, of course not having to open up another window to look up someone's stats is a nice bonus, but I don't really need to use it much, so yeah, just the chat. :o

Heh, I used to have that problem also, but since, I have found a way to get around that; Just destroy it, then everytime you need it to go back to Lunar Isle, simply talk to the Chief on your way to the docks to get another. That way you won't accidently leave it in your bank, and it also saves 1 extra space in your bank. :

I too am currently training for 99 magic, but I'm sorry to tell you ... there is no 'fun' and effective way to train magic at the same time. You either train magic at PC (most effective, and fastest way to train magic currently), or you use combat spells on metal dragons/slayer tasks etc (which can be very slow and costly if you arn't very lucky with drops). Just stick to whatever method you choose, then go ice barrage in CW when you're done - that should be all the fun you'll need to replenish yourself after all that tedious clicking. =P~

It is true, when you speak to Ilfeen she mentions it, but says cannot get the melody right yet so that she can enchant it. :?

I feel the same way, Whips were good when they were first released because of the rarity, but now they are just too common. I would hope it would involve some high level monster that requires a very large team (20+) if they did decide to release a new weapon, then it will still be rare in 2 months. And maybe a weapon that is the counter to the Whip, only training strength and controlled or something like that, with strong and moderate paced hits. :-#

LOL! And On-Topic: Usually atleast 4 hours when I'm at home most of the day, but according to my exp gain in one 24 hour period (thanks Runemonkey.net)I once played 13 hours. :shock:

The time I came closest to dieing while runecrafting through the abyss was quite a funny story. I was teleblocked first, which isn't very common but when it does happen, you know you're dealing with a Pker who knows what he's doing. Then I was entangled (they both hit on the first cast? :? ) AND he was only wearing mystic bottoms with a ghostly top and the usual extras. :shock: So I began dropping some ess so that I could take off my glory etc and drop it. But before I had taken off my glory, another Rcer had attacked the Pker! The Pker who was most probably still clicking on me, was confused and so I got away and escaped through the abyss. And then, when I got to the Nat Altar, I crafted my runes and went to teleport back to Edgeville, when...I realised I had forgotten to wear a Glory amulet! It was hilarious! I began telling the story to a few friends and they all thought it was funny aswell. Really quite lucky, but extremely funny also. :o I now carry a Sara Brew when I know that there are Pkers there, just incase they get lucky and hit me on first cast again. :x

If what a few people are saying is true (that the DD special attacks don't relay off each other, they can both hit the maximum hitpoints of the target regardless of what the other special hits) why when you do kill your oppent in one special, does the second one not show up? Looks either like a bug, or an elaboratly planned joke (sara brews, or someone with 20 hitpoints was standing under you). The latter option seems more likely. :-#

After all the hype of the design for the new bank, I think now it is actually less likely that Jagex will introduce a new bank. Although in many quests they like to "copy" other peoples ideas, I don't think they like to directly use someone elses design, such as for a new bank. I think they are looking for a new bank design that has the features of the suggested one, but they don't want it to be exactly the same. You might've actually made us wait longer, by deisgning your own and taking the idea before Jagex did. :?

I don't think pures in general are bad, it's just that the majority of the time, the people who create the pures are some level 70 who went into the wilderness, with his brand new dragon battleaxe, and got koed by a pure. They think "Hey, I want to do that too!". So they drop trade their total bank worth of about 250k over to a pure account (with a crappy name, such as purepkr30475 :roll: )and begin training to about 40 attack and 50 strength, then realise it's too much trouble going any further, so they begin Pking. On the otherhand, some pures have very high level mains, who are finished in a sense, on their old account, and wish to try something new. These are the "good" pures. They actually know what they're doing, have all the money they need to get that 99 magic or range, and are generally well-mannered. Heh, sorry for rambling. :-w

I've never used world 99, I prefer good ole 64. \ Maybe i should try RCing on 99 from time to time, might be fun to see a few Tip.It'ers.

My favorite cutscene was the one from A Tail Of Two Cats, where Bob goes to see the KBD, it made me laugh when I saw it. :P

They seem to be fine for me, I got one on my first kill, then came back and got another on my 3rd kill. I've had 2 since then which took about 30 mins - an hour to get. Try training on something of a higher level. :)

Surely you could simply hide or put on a protection prayer while you heal up?

I think they heal 2 or 3 each, I already ate all mine. :-w

After jumping on the Treasure Trail bandwagon after the new rewards were released, after 3 clues, the only new reward I recieved were 20 or so purple sweets. At first I thought they were useless, but then I started thinking. They're a stackable source of HP. Almost perfect for the Fight Caves, when healing fast (EG sharks/Sara Brews etc) isn't neccessary, but healing the most while saving space is. The majority of the time while inside the Fight Caves, you can simply hide while you heal up, so the speed of healing shouldn't be a problem. You could quite easily gather over a thousand of them, and thus healing 2k HP with only using up 1 space. I'm not sure how much they are selling for at the moment, with all the rush to get these shiny new armours, but I think they could become very useful in the future. Discuss what else you think they could be used for. :

Vambs actually do not give any mage defense, last time I checked. Trust. You can't trust anyone in the wilderness. That's not a good idea. Actually Black vambs DO give a magic defence bonus, +8 if I'm not mistaken.

Heh I was really lucky because I bought the ess I needed for 91 RC (568k Ess) 2 days before the pure ess update for 30 gp each. 8-) Costing around 20m all up, I think it was pretty well worth it. O:) It did take me 3 months from 67-91 though. :-$

You forgot a capital R on ranging. :
