Chris
Definately sounds like a vibration of some sort. Can't say I've heard that before though. Clean your fans properly (best thing for it, is canned air). Maybe try running your computer with the hardrive hanging out the side, if the noise is coming from the hardrive you should hear it better. Can't really say much more than that. Have you made sure your optical drives are operating properly? Notoriously Trollish.
blade995
Unplug the hard drive and start the computer. If you still hear it, then it's not the hard drive. I was thinking it could be a case fan. Make sure there are tight against the case. Make sure no wires are hitting them while there on.

Ape
It's definately a fan issue. Take all your fans off, clean them and put them back. It could be a dust trap. Also, take one fan out, boot up your computer... then if it still whirs, put that one back in and take another out.. Untill you've done it with all of them. You're bound to come across it. -Mitch- New sig to come!

zonda
It could just be one of the ball bearings... if thats the case, just wait it out. It usually happens in newer rigs. ...
