Internet explorer problems, - HJT log for the readin,

Hi all, first off thanks in advance for any help given

 

 

 

Ok here we go, basically whenever i try to run my dear runescape i can play for about 5 minutes before i recieve a "IE has experienced a problem" message and must close etcetc, if i dare to try it again the whole pc crashes, problem has only developed recently and nothing new had been added, also my system restore fails everytime i try.

 

 

 

if you need any specs give me a post, i dont have a cue what is relevent, excpet im using IE v6,

 

 

 

o and please dont say use firefox, it doesnt seem to like my pc

To start, I'd be sure I have all the current Windows updates.

hey all, thanks for the quick response, having gone to the windows update all fine. having gone to the java update, pc crahses just from the java demo on the front page

Java wouldn't be affecting his DoD though... neither would anything with Iexplore, to me it just sounds like a case of my-computer-is-sick-with-every-alement-you-can-think-of-disorder

First of all, are you running Windows XP? If so, try downloading Opera, but im guessing since you cant run IE nor Firefox, you may have some fun little programs to deal with. If you post a hijackthis log, it will be very helpfull.

HijackThis 1.99.1. You can generate a report using this program and then actually remove items. To start, simply run the report and post the results here.

Yeah you did it right, im not good with HJT logs so i wont try lol

I'm not too great with hijackthis, but I have some experience with them. I don't see anything wrong with the log, though there are programs you can close to speed up your computer. But other than that, I don't see any bad files :x

Hello baron800,

 

 

 

Notice the text in green? That is an optional fix. MessengerPlus3! has been known to cause many messenger problems it is not required and it is your choice to remove it or not. If you choose to remove it please follow the instructions in green if not just disregard.

 

 

 

Please open HijackThis and do a system scan.

 

 

 

Please put a check next to the following entries.

Now got to Start>Control Pannel>Add or Remove Programs>MessengerPlus! 3>Then click change/remove/unisntall

 

 

 

Once that is done delete the bolded folder. to C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3

 

 

 

Once this is done please post a brand new log and tell if IE is working or not.
