I am making this rang pure cause I just feel like it. I don't plan on doing any PKing because I am against PK in general. I was just wondering about the prayer thing because mostly all I see it do is str and attack. Niether of those two effect rang so..... Right now my stats are: rang: 37 defense: 20 hit points: 29 prayer: 10 and magic 8 just cause I did imp catcher for amulet of accuracy. As it stands, at this moment, I have a combat of 31. I was just looking at the combat calculator and saw that a few lvls of prayer would raise my combat lvl. I don't think that is a good idea due to the fact that my rang attack only does 6 max dmg. Not that I am worried about being attacked by things too strong for me, its that when I go to attack things I want to rang, I have to right click then choose to attack. And to wear Green dragon hide body you need 40def & Range.Whereas to wear Green dragonhide vambraces & chaps you only need 40range & Not 40def. Use Diamond ammy rather than ammy of accuracy. About the combat lvls, I guess I just wasn't thinking. I haven't had any sleep in a long while. I just ranged my way from 26 to 40. Soma2035 Posted July 9, 2006 Share Posted July 9, 2006 If you're getting 40 defence, then you're account is already weaker at pking. 40 defence rangers do best in the dueling arena, and you don't need prayer at the duel arena. If you want to pk, you might consider 52 prayer at higher levels. But stay 1 defence, or else you'll forever lag behind the other pures your level. And there's no real reason for a pure except PvP. Pures are disadvantaged in EVERYTHING except PvP. If you don't plan to pk at all, just train range on your main instead. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! Since attack and str have no effect on my rang attack, I just figured that the diamond amulet had no effect for me.
