Nadril
I'm working on a snow texture in Terragen. (I know this is a reused area, but it's good for showing the texture) So, any tips on what I can do to improve it? :)
Goldwolflord
I dunno... It's looking pretty alright to me. Just thinking, with you reusing that area, how about doing a 4seasons picture? Maybe not the easiest, because of lack of foliage... Hmm, nevermind.
Nadril
I could do it, dunno if I wanna reuse 4 times though. I"m just using it as a temporary thing to get this texture right.
Kuroi_Ame
Wow, if you drew that (or did that in PhotoShop or a similar program) then you are amazing. It's almost like an actual picture. jabraulter
Well the snow in the foreground looks just fine to me. The snow in the far far background looks just fine. However, it's the middle snow that bothers me a bit. I think the reason is because both the far back and the foreground mountains/buttes/plateaus all have lighting form the sun. The middle one does not, thus it lacks the red tones that is seen in the others. It is the contrast which really helps to bring out the snow. Right now it looks grey and flat, but I think if you can adjust the sun just abit, you may be able to get just enough lighting to yield what you want, but still keep it basically lit the same way. Looks nice, but I am really liking the idea of the four seasons \ :3>

You know, it's white and everything, but I'm missing the 'fluffy'-ness of it. I've been trying to think for ages on how to get it like that. beesafree
it looks like a layer of snow and a fresh new layer of dry snow is on top of it, i say make it smoother..., it looks to bumpy http://forums.thegamehomepage.com/
chillin
because of the snow in the foreground it makes the whole picture look like the snow is about .5 cm deep, give the appearance that the snow is a bit deeper in the foreground and it should help a lot, instead of making it look like the grass turned white xD, nice work btw
kido14
Woah that looks awesome  ! I've never used terragen before, so I can't give you any useful advice, but I just wanted to say how cool that looked. Terragen is an amazing program. You can make really realistic things with it from what I can tell.
