red_hydra
I donno if anyone who keeps their stats equal does this but it sounds like it might be good exp. Im talkin about training controlled with a whip. Wouldnt that be better than training str with scimmy and attk and def with whip? Might take a while to get lvls but it really would be better wouldnt it? Does anyone do this?
swedishlf
I fight on controlled most frequently. When I'm close to an attack or def level I'll switch it up, but by and large controlled is the way I go. I generally try keeping my str 2 or 3 levels above my attack...don't ask, I don't have a reason... but I recently sold my whip and will be training str till 85 slayer. nyyankees588
i used to do this and yes it is a good way to train but it got kinda slow so i got 70 str and now only train attack and defense :D Getting another sig[removed]
Furious_F
Surely training each skill specifically is faster than all at once, since you'll have each new level help gaining the other; instead of getting them alltogether. And that having been said; one level more or less won't have that a great impact on your exp rates. So both will be roughly equal? kouaxiong123
Using the controlled attack option will definitly slow your training, but think about it this way, you will level up 3 times in the same amount of time you would have to level up each skill seperately. evilboy1034
I got my attack to 70 and I have been doing pest control with my whip on defense. Then with the tickets I will use them on Str so I still get both skills. Eventually I will be using the points on defense. As soon as my membership renews of course... KurtangleTN
To the original question, no I find it alot slower then training with a scimmy. However, i'd "rent" (Or buy or use whatever) a sent of dharoks and train at the ape atoll, you can go as low as you want, put protect from melee and also protect items incase a chicken comes, that way if you die you protect the set. You can go as low as you feel wit this with absolutely no risk of losing anything good (just bring food and some anti poision, there are little tiny spiders that will be an annoyance untill you stop getting auto attacked, thats when you can really drop your HP :) Current Goal: Fire Cape, 0-6 at the caves 0-3 agianst the Jad, Lag done me in. pati
i use controlled to it's faster in the long term since you don't need to use d scim to train str (unless you got dharoks) Computers will never be above humans because we made them. That's what monkeys used to say about us. RAHK
Train on accurate. Use all of your pc points on strength. Once you hit 99 strength put them all on attack. Finally switch to defensive style and put your points there. My plan anywho. 8-) PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? Zou_Lou
Sorry if double posting I had an error message "could not connect to database" so I clicked twice. Hello, :) I don't mind to be using controlled with whip because I like to have balanced combat stats. IMO training 3 stats at the same time is more efficient then switching weapons to catch up with the third stat. The amount of XP gained is just about the same though. When I'm not using the whip I usually train strength so I can hit a little harder (my fury and climbing boots does help as well). Greetings, Zou Lou. Retired from RuinedScape 12/15/07.
