July 27, 200619 yr No! dont report them...if they are just trying to be friendly ..why would u report them?...furthermore...i asked someone their age in the presence of a mod and they muted me...jagex sent me a message the next day apoligizing as there was no need for me to be muted point in case \
July 27, 200619 yr No. According to Jagex, asking your age or first name are not reportable offenses. However, a good example of personal details are things that people can use to track you down. Such as Telephone numbers, street adress, full name, bank info, credit card. ETC Age is a petty thing and in no way can cause harm to people. Legendary F2P Skiller

E-mails and messenger ID counts as a break of this rule as well. So does your ID of other games. Age is harmless but you wouldn't wanna get hacked in your YIM account and lose all the services now would you? That's why it isn't allowed either, so not only realLife details.
July 27, 200619 yr ive posted here b4 but i wanna sort of answer your question better. should u report these ppl yes if they are your friend or not bcuz they are still breaking the rules. the question is would you report these ppl Seling 45548 Airs PM if u want to buy some!
July 27, 200619 yr Hey whats up imperial. Shadow legions rule!!! Only report if they ask you twice ( like if you say no and they ask you again) no need to be a jerk about it. -no longer playing runescape, I have moved on to play world of warcraft. But I love the community of the forums so I plan to stay here.
July 27, 200619 yr I'd never report someone for asking about age or location (country not city). It seems unfair to report someone for making basic conversation. I normally say that I am one year older than I am, just so that if they were out to hurt someone, they'ed never get me. By asking about age and location I know that I have friends in RS from Ohio, Texas, California and Spain (Plus a load of British ones). I know that they are aged 12 - 21. They know that I am 16 ( :D ), living in the UK. How is that hurting anyone? Don't report them unless they ask for an address or e-mail address. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!

Yeah Shadow Legions is PWNAGE !! ... also yea i have been acting like a real big jerk lately ... #-o ... i havent posted in the shadow legions forum in a while either .
July 27, 200619 yr I think it's [developmentally delayed]ed to report someone for asking your age, evern if they're being rude about it. Personal details are more along the lines of locations, sex, and what are you wearing. Looking for reasons to take things into rule breaking is just pushing the line. Jagex has to deal with spammers, filter dodgers, macroers, scammers, and all around bad guys, filling their box full of "He asked for my age" is rather insulting. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.
July 27, 200619 yr I quite often ask people I am talking with their age, and even what country they are from. Just interested to know something about the person I am talking to. There seems to be a lot of people who would report anyone for anything - is runescape breeding a bunch of dobbers!!!
