July 27, 200619 yr Okay, since i am getting P2P in a few days and i want my mining as high as possible, i want to mine granite and sandstone int he desert, but i have a few questions. 1) does granite and sandstone compare tot he respawn rate of iron? 2) if i were to use a chisel on the ore then drop it for the crafting xp, would only 1 ore be able to be crafted? if so, which one is only craftable? 3) does the area i will be mining in need waterskins since some places in the desert dont need waterskins such as the camps and cities. thanks -imaerehw14

Sandstone and granite, from my experience respawn as fast as iron. In certain guides they say that their respawn rate is 8 seconds and iron is 10. So you'd be much better off there. 2. You can craft them? 3. The area you will be mining in does not require any waterskins. For me I only use 1-2 gulps of water getting there through the magic carpet ride to the bedabin camp. Oh and congratz on becoming a member, maybe we could mine together some time? lol :D ^ Refresh for a new signature ^
July 27, 200619 yr Author I added you  and yes, i think some of them can be crafter for 6.5 experience each, so mining 27k will add up to 175,500 xp. can anyone help me with the 2nd question?

July 27, 200619 yr Author craftable only during the quest : im pretty sure granite is craftable for shades of mor'ton shade burning, unless you are talking about limestone... what i want to know, is if both ores are craftable, if not, is it only granite?
July 27, 200619 yr It is only sandstone, which can be crafted into limestone bricks (used for construction).... I think
July 27, 200619 yr limestone is made into limestone bricks for construction. I am unsure if granite and sandstone can be mined before/after the quest. Quest Cape - 10/18/2006
