July 27, 200619 yr This thread has to do with only level 3 clues! Personally, I can't remember the countless amount of level 3's i have completed. From those pesky Tiranwnn coordinates, to the Khazari Jungle, to fighting a Zamorak Wizard in 50+ wilderness, to the Mort Myre Swamp Saradomin Wizards, I've been to them all. I've almost memorized the Treasure Trail guides on three sites! Yet, My rewards don't pay off. The times I've made it out with 2hp from the darned Saradomin Wizard's DD(s) Poison, the times I've almost been PKed in the depths of the deep wilderness, the times I've had to trek a round trip journey around RuneScape for one clue, you think it would have paid off? To haul down in the farthest part of taverly dungeon to get a clue from Hellhounds that rewards me nothing equivelent to my time, to loot and unexpected clue from Iron Dragons (while i should be getting D Legs, D legs were gotten on my 40th kill, but nothing in the past 120+) and to find out it gives me squat after completed those darned puzzles.. I've successfully finished around 20 clues, but, of course, not to see my beloved Saradomin, Zamorak, Guthix, or Robin Hood hat present. There are 55 possible rewards that i would be more than grateful to retrieve. From Saradomin, to Enchanted, to Guilded, to Cavaliers, can't i get something? Out of all my completed clues, The ONLY thing i have gotten that was worthwhile was a Rune (g) helm... Of course it can't be God armor, but the low-valued Rune Gold...and on top of that, the Helm! C'mon now, I think clues were meant to come out with better than that... DON'T YOU? Posts are grately appreciated and always read! Have you experienced this type of luck, or worse even? I'd like some feedback! :D :D EDIT : : 2 Clues in a row 1rst - Rune (G) Skirt 2nd - Rune (T) Helm. Not too great but i'ts a start :)
July 27, 200619 yr i have completed loads of trails. Best reward was a robin, and worst.... you dont want to know..... Point is: take trails as a break from training combat. I love the thrill of opening the 4 th or 5 th ot 6 th clue. You can actually test yourself... the next time you get a lvl 3 clue - leave it...... if you eventually pick it up - youre hooked on that lovely feeling of adventure and possible richness   And if you feel nothing...... sad for you - this is a game, play it like youre supposed to do 485 rune full helms banked since 65 slayer99/99 slayer
July 27, 200619 yr Author Heh, i guess it would be helpful to take breaks for combat :D thanks for the suggestion! And it stinks you only got a white beret :( you're bound to get something eventually, keep trying
July 28, 200619 yr don't hunt for clues. when you get them, see them as a break from training or whatnot, never as a source of income. its a lot less stressful and a bit more fun, especially if you lose it somehow i get them all the time when training slayer, which to me is simply a break from training :)
July 28, 200619 yr Author Yeah, that's two people referring to them as a break from training, which i do agree completely with! :D Thanks! Nice guide as well
July 31, 200619 yr i would really thing the clue rewards can depend on the monster that drops it, dont wimp out and hally/range hellhounds, hit up some greater demons, if your stats allow enough power, 1 clue per load of fish(my case monkfish) but also, people can trek around the rs map 4 times over and receive something that seems of little value, but it usually pays off, just try move up to the next best thing and you should do fine on rewards
August 1, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the info\encouragement raven :) I might just have to go and try some greaters, Thanks again
