WrathMonkey
A door, placed neatly on the wall of an abandoned looking shack. It's features were but one - wood. Nothing intricate, no signs of any important. Just a door. And yet, this was the door. A hand carried a small brass figure towards an opening in the handle. Entering and turning slowly, the key unlocked the door. A ladder was placed conviently to one side, a table on the other. Varrock's commerce wasn't close enough to be a bother for the ears. The person, clad in in a blue with a small bit of white tint, meandered down the path into the ground. From behind came a blow, a large figure holding the club that did it. As the human that had been hit turned to see what had attacked him, another strike knocked him to the ground, and with him, his shield. The shield cracked in half down the middle, it's picture of a beautiful yet deadly dragon destroyed. The giant retrieved the left half, and wandered away, daring anyone who came close to steal it from him... --- Okay, down to serious business. I hope you liked the intro (which referred to the Hill Giants and the Dragon Square Shield). What I'm questing for is the Shield Left Half, and from easy kills - the Hill Giants. I'll keep a log of what I get in drops, levels, etc. Hopefully I'll get that shield! --- Day One, July 27, 2006: Armor And Weapons Used: -Rune Plate Body -Rune Plate Legs -Rune Scimmy -Rune Kite -Rune Full Helm -Gold Boots -Gold Gloves -Team-16 Cape -Strength Amulet -Ring of Life Items: -8 Law Runes -43 Iron Arrows -50 Steel Arrows -24 Sweetcorn Seeds -64 Cabbage Seeds -2 Death Runes -152 Potato Seeds -29 Unidentified Herbs -3 Guam -1 Harrlander -195 Big Bones -2.85K GP -12 Tomato Seeds -10 Body Talismans -24 Nature Runes -14 Water Runes -60 Fire Runes -4 Chaos Runes -14 Cosmics Runes -90 Onion Seeds -25 Limpwurts -1 Marrentill -1 Uncut Sapphire -6 Mind Runes -2 Steel Longsword -2 Strawberry Seeds Skills: -3 Strength Level Other: -I learned that Hill Giants have (most likely) 35 HP -I learned that there are 11 Hill Giant respawns in the cave === Okay, so when I was fightin' those Hillys, I admit, I was sneaking peeks at other blog. I was reading Leester's KQ head Blog (boy do you wanna get a bug's head on your wall :P), and I was wowed by the way his stories were so intriguing! I couldn't stop readin' it, even though I was supposed to be killin' Hillys. It's good, keep it up Leester! And about the Hill Giants. It's pretty crowded, I'm using World 79. :\ But I refuse to switch! Hehehehehe... Well, my Limpwurt Roots came in handy. Some guy was givin' me 1 cooked lob per limpwurt root. And since I don't like to go fish for my food, this was quite the deal for me. 21 Limpwurt Roots for 25 Lobs (he was generous). And then I traded those lobs for 12 Big Bones. Score! Today's Estimated Value: 160K! --- Day Two, July 28, 2006: Armor And Weapons Used: -Rune Plate Body -Rune Plate Legs -Rune Scimmy -Rune Kite -Rune Full Helm -Fancy Boots -Gold Gloves -Team-16 Cape -Gnome Amulet -Ring of Life Items: -42 Big Bones -8 Unidentified Herbs -2 Guam -21 Limpwurts -38 Cabbage Seeds -92 Potato Seeds -80 Onion Seeds -5 Body Tallismans -18 Nature Runes -2 Death Runes -45 Fire Runes -3 Mind Runes -2 Law Runes -6 Cosmic Runes -49 Water Runes -6 Steel Longsword -9 Sweetcorn Seeds -15 Tomato Seeds -1.1K GP -10 Steel Arrows -21 Iron Arrows -18 Bronze Arrows -5 RUNE JAVELINS Skills: Other: === --- Please no flaming, hi-jacking, etc. This is for the enjoyment of me and anyone else who is curious in how long it would take me to get a Shield Left Half from Hill Giants. Since this work is boring sometimes, and I don't want my readers to be bored, I might have a bit of a story line as to the adventures of killing Hill Giants and takin' that shield - so be prepared! If you don't like the stories, or don't want to read them, you don't have to. Thanks for anyone who's interested! From The Fog Clan
xxxShade
Good luck and nice intro. But I suggest that you have a ROW because getting left half is rare enough with it.
WrathMonkey
XD Thanks, I completely forgot that. The big idea is not for the shield left half (which I probably won't get anyways :P), but to raise my combat and to have a load of bones in the end to raise my prayer.
