Question on How to Solo Daggonoth Rex

Hey, i am an aspiring daggonoth killer, and i have seen one thread on how to solo daggonoth rex, but i became confused after reading people's reactions to that thread and such. For starters, the aformentioned thread stressed the use of ice spells so daggonoth rex would be frozen and the slayer could stand a few paces back. In terms of what prayer the player should use, it recommended protect from ranged for supreme, as prime was "far away". Now i have read other people's responses and many of them were concerned that daggonoth prime would attack them (a few journeyed to waterbirth themselves and were actually killed by prime trying this way). Those people argued that there was actually a maging safe spot (of which one could use any type of spell) and that they used protect from magic for prime. Now i am confused, with one person explaining that prime will not attack, therefore it would be necessary to use protect from ranged, and the other saying the opposite. I have never been to the waterbirth dungeon (i plan on exploring it soon), but if anyone has any tips for how i can solve this problem i will be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that i want to SOLO rex, therefore i will probably go through the dungeon with a fellow soloer (or a friend), then switch to a different world. As of now i dont have the stats to fight the kings, but i am training currently, and would like to use slayer dart on them (if that would work).

Thanks again

That was me :P

Once you enter the Dagganoth lair, you want to run along the south-east (I believe it's south east) edge of the lair. The trick is to *NOT* have either Dagganoth Prime or Supreme target you. It's tricky, but not entirely impossible. If either one does spot you, just run back up the ladder and try it again.

Anyway, once you're in there, there is a certain spot that you can stand in and mage Dagganoth Rex (He won't be able to reach you). I could take a picture to show you, but I'm too lazy. I'm pretty sure there's a picture in that one guide somewhere (Oddfaery's guide) but it's actually easier if someone shows it to you.

Keep in mind that the level 76's will still be able to mage/range you, but if you wear some type of barrow's armour and keep on protect from magic, you can kill 15+ a run by yourself.

Edit: After I made that, I found an easier spot to mage him from (Which is the one I now use) without the use of ancient magics.

once i get to that spot do i need to worry about supreme targetting me?

Also, what spell do you use now that you dont use ancient magicks, and about how many casts do u bring with u? I think i may use slayer dart, as it is the cheapest.

No. If you do it right neither Prime nor Supreme will target you. As I stated prior, it's much easier if you have someone show you where to go/what to do.

As far as what spell to you, it's pretty much up to you. You can use anything you want, I just go with Sara Strike. Slayer dart, though, is good if you can't afford any God Spell.

Ok, thanks alot for your help, i didnt expect a response so fast :)

I do have a question though, if you ever go to the kings anytime soon i would love to accompany you just to see the spot (i found a pic and i can kind of guess it). I can help you get through the special doors too. I think its better that i explore the waterbirth dungeon (how to get to the kings basically) before i come, as i could slow you down which would be bad for you. If you can't thats totally reasonable and ill just do it the fun way.
